This Nami moment means so much to me. Nami's smart, she knows how to lie to get herself out of dangerous situations. Like on Skypiea when she got Enel to spare her. And yet, she just couldn't bring herself to lie here. Her loyalty to Luffy is worth more to her than her own life.

Welp, i'm reading this and comments and i have teary eyes and i didn't even come to this episode, yet. This is probably will happened in Wano and i'm not so far to come to this arc
@ToraTetsuya
There was a wonderful post talking about how much she has changed. In Little Garden, she found it ridiculous that Dorry and Broggy were fighting to the death. And thought living is more important. Same in Skypeia she wanted Luffy to give up on the Golden Bell so they can live
@ToraTetsuya
It's such an incredible scene. It's great for Nami and even great for usopp, too
"Just lie, Nami, the truth isn't worth dying for." Is such a fabulous line as it really shows the contrast with these 2 characters
@ToraTetsuya
I also want to point out usopp, some may think him cowardly for saying that, but the dude believes in luffy just as much as nami, that's why he's calling it a lie, because he also just knows that luffy will be pirate king.
Gah, love everyone on this page!
@ToraTetsuya
Itβs these moments in OP that really just tug on the heart strings. Funnily enough, Usopp is telling her to lie but if he was in her exact situation he wouldnβt lie about it either like when he was in Alabasta fighting Ms. Groundhog. Their faith in each other is inspiring π
@ToraTetsuya
My cousin didnβt find the anime one interesting.
Anime adapted it badly. I was watching reaction mashup to confirm no one got goosebumps like manga people did.
@ToraTetsuya
Adore her. Sorry to say tho but this is one of the moments where my faith in Usopp plummetsπ how things went down in water 7 and he says THIS. I understand heβs a survivalist but bro put some respect on yo Captains name. I really hope Usoppβs ch arc gets better
