Back of the envelope comp. would suggest a greater than 30% discount. For every 100 million of debt Sofi repurchases, it would have over $ 30 million gains. If it buys 400 million, it would have a gain of about 120 and capital ratio relief of almost 1 billion and 13c earnings

@DataDInvesting Chris. If the stock was at 15 by the end of the year, you might not get any conversion. They wanted to redeem the preferred. and this is simply a way to do that and exchange debt for debt at a relatively low dilution. You're right if its done as a sole and separate transaction
