Thoughts: I knew I was going to be in for a treat, seeing Malachi Nelson for the first time, but I’m just going to say this, he’s one of the most unreal high school QBs I’ve seen. Oklahoma is getting a real good one, as he’s been on-point throughout most of the game.

I never thought I’d see the day this would happen. Lacrosse is officially a CIF sanctioned sport. This is beyond amazing. It just goes to show how far the sport of lacrosse has come. Can the 2020 lacrosse season get here sooner?

Fountain Valley’s Coach is D’Cean Bryant, who takes over Steve Schultz. I like his coaching style/him as a coach. I have a feeling he’ll turn the Barons into contenders someday. They just have to trust the process.

I had a great time at the @NewportAquatics girls water polo banquet. I even got a picture with the Sailors’ seniors (minus Nikki Clark). This year’s seniors worked really hard and will be tough to replace. Next year’s seniors have a huge void to fill, but I know they can do so.

Congratulations to @ajmclean_ of @EdisonLAX on being named the Sunset League’s scholar athlete of the year in boys lacrosse. McLean is bound for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and will be playing lacrosse there too. A story about his commitment will be out tomorrow. Well done AJ.

Huge win for Laguna Beach’s girls water polo team, winning in probably the water polo game of the year. But in a sense, I feel bad for CDM. To lose another 1 goal game. That hurts. But the Sea Queens deserve lots of credit on getting this far.

I had a great time at the Foothill girls lacrosse banquet. I greatly appreciate the standing ovation I got when I was first introduced and I greatly appreciated the compliments from the parents who said I did a great job with my speech tonight. Truly a night to remember.
