50 states … 50 horror books.
I am challenging myself in 2024 to travel across the United States through books.
I will reading horror books set in different states. My goal is to read one book per state.
I will share my progress here, periodically.

I'm a bookworm and I always have been.
Reading is my
#1
form of self-care. It's how I escape from the stresses of life and transport myself to another world.
When I'm feeling overwhelmed I long for the moment when I can curl with a book and let the words wash over me
On
#bookstagram
today, I talk about coming of age horror. Summer is the perfect time to pick up one of these books.
**Stephen King’s “IT” has been excluded from the stack.
Happy Saturday ✨✨

, I talk about why I love indie horror. These are the indie horror authors I read in 2022. In some cases, I read multiple books by the same author.
I recommend all of these. See anything that catches your eye?
In the upcoming weeks, you're probably going to see a lot of people posting their big wins. on social media. The best moments of 2023.
It's okay if your biggest accomplishment of 2023 was simply surviving.

A huge thank you to everyone who puts up with my daily nonsense 😆🖤🖤

@StephenKing
!!
He is the master storyteller.
There many different worlds to visit. The experiences are endless.
What was the first Stephen King book you read?
IT was my first 🤡
You don’t have to read:
popular books.
books in your age group
new releases
classic books
5 star books
bookstagram recommendations
books in a specific genre
READ WHAT YOU WANT!
ENJOY WHAT YOU READ!
Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
I attended

I choose a horror novella or story between 50 and 134 pages. A story that I can read in a sitting. Sometimes I finish it; sometimes it carries over to the next morning.
Bedtime story nights, I go to sleep with a story fresh in my head
Remember that reading is a hobby, not a competitive sport!
There's no need to race to finish books or read more books or the same number of books as other readers.
Focus on enjoying the books you're reading.
HAPPY READING ✨✨
Good Morning!
If you want to be happy, be happy on purpose.
When you wake up in the morning, you can't just wait and see what kind of day you will have.
You have to decide what kind of day YOU will have.
Wishing you a happy wednesday ✨✨
I don't know who needs to hear this 🖤
It is ok not to finish a book.
Maybe the book is not right for you.
Maybe it is not the right time to read it ( you can try again later).
Reading is suppose to bring joy.
Happy Monday✨✨
Great things are accomplished in small steps. Keep moving. One step at a time. Eventually, you will see huge results.
Wishing everyone a productive week!
My Brian Berry book collection keeps growing. He has some pretty wicked covers. The stories are an unforgettable experience.

You can be a kind person & still:
say no.
prioritize your needs.
set boundaries.
disagree with people.
be honest
walk away from toxic environments.
make mistakes.
stand up for yourself.

Aquatic horror is the best. What lurks beneath the surface can be truly terrifying.

“Why don’t we put on a comfort movie?”
My choice: nothing relaxes the mind after a long week like watching snakes and bugs pouring out of a kid’s head in “Halloween III: Season of the Witch” (1982).
