I will be, once again, tracking the Jazz's pre-draft workout participants... along with all 29 other teams. This tracker will be updated as I hear things and see other things reported.
DeJon Jarreau got to show some stuff in the fourth quarter tonight against CLE. Had him ranked as a top-45 guy in the 2021 class and think he can be a steal for the Pacers if given the opportunity

Here's a look at the current top 60 on my board.
I refrained from sharing any updates to my board last cycle because of the constant movement, but decided to switch it up for this cycle.
So, keep in mind -- it's January 26th and nothing is set in stone. Appreciate y'all
DeJon Jarreau vs South Florida is a good watch if you're curious as to why I want him on the Jazz so badly. The size and length immediately stand out. But you get a little bit of everything here -- defense, playmaking, shooting. The guy is severely underrated

Zanik put his nuts out there and took a huge risk. It paid off and they got their guy. Jazz fans, this is a LOTTERY LEVEL talent in Jared Butler. Man, man… I’m just so damn excited

A year removed from a block on your other account and I continue to be baffled by the shit you type. I shouldn’t be surprised, though — didn’t you compare Turner to KD once?
No matter how many of these tweets you see… yes, the Jazz absolutely should have tanked for Wemby and settled for the consolation prize of an Amen/Scoot

Had to delete the last tweet because I somehow forgot Miles Bridges.. I apologize. Anyway, here's what the Hornets starting lineup should look like next season:
PG: Terry Rozier
SG: Malik Monk/Dwayne Bacon
SF: Miles Bridges
PF: Marvin Williams
C: Cody Zeller
Agree or Disagree?
Per his Instagram story, Nah'Shon "Bones" Hyland had a pre-draft workout with the Utah Jazz today. One of the best three-point shooters in the 2021 NBA Draft.
For Hornets fans looking towards next year's draft because this upcoming season will likely be a rebuilding year, I see three for-sure future All-Stars at the top of the 2020 draft class:
- Anthony Edwards (Georgia)
- James Wiseman (Memphis)
- Cole Anthony (North Carolina)
Someone's going to have to explain to me why the Jazz should add another mid star... what the hell is Bridges, Ingram or Murray gonna do? Get you in the play-in game as you wait for "the guy"?
This whole waiting game is bizarre. Just trade Lauri and rebuild
Woj says Hornets/Grizzlies still talking Gasol trade, trying to work things out salary wise and sounds like the draft pick Memphis gets would indeed be protected if a trade does go down.
As far as I can tell, these are the names that have been linked to the Jazz prior to the trade deadline:
Harrison Barnes
Robert Covington
Jerami Grant
Josh Richardson
Terrence Ross
Nine days...
Really enjoying the Lucas Williamson defensive film tonight. Working out for the Jazz on Thursday. Strong UDFA/Two-Way option that has already worked out for Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, Memphis, Milwaukee, Phoenix and Sacramento

My father was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. He's going in for surgery on 6/8 and as a last resort, my family thought a GoFundMe could be of help while he recovers away from work. If you can, anything will help them and is appreciated beyond words.
Dwayne Bacon is going to have the ball in his hands quite a lot next season. This Summer League will be a good test for him as a creator and overall scorer. Making good reads thus far.
I strongly believe OKC won that PG trade... Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a complete stud and they got FIVE first round picks in the process.
OKC wasn't going to win anything with PG, and they won't with Westbrook, either. Time to trade him, now?
Dribble jumpers (overall and 3's) for some notable prospects in my top-100... what stands out here? Any surprises? If you have any requests, leave it with me

One of my favorite under-the-radar returning prospects for the 2022 NBA Draft is Seton Hall's Jared Rhoden. 6'6" long armed G/F that is going to be a fun watch alongside Cuse transfer Kadary Richmond
Re: Lauri’s touches — this is why he can’t be a No. 1… he needs to be fed. And the Jazz’s guards *obviously* don’t make enough of an effort to get him the ball in his spots.
Sure would look good next to Luka rather than Sexton, THT, etc
With Chase Audige going pro, I think Brooks Barnhizer makes a big leap at Northwestern as a Junior and puts himself onto NBA radar.
Looked awesome in FEB/MAR, including in this game @ Rutgers. Super smart, finds angles, rebounds, defends... consistency from 3PT will be big.
Source: Wyoming’s Drake Jeffries will work out for the Utah Jazz tomorrow.
He’s already completed workouts with Detroit, New Orleans and Indiana as we inch closer to draft day.
Ya know, perhaps Donovan and his inner circle should have used Gobert's comments as motivation to pick it up on that end of the floor and show what he's capable of. Watching him play defense like that in the NBA Playoffs made me seethe
So the Jazz are going to trade the best player they've had since Malone/Stockton, hire the coach that Donovan wants and win 30-something games only for him to ask out in a year?
Baylor has a sleeping giant in Dain Dainja. Redshirted as a freshman, but was highly recruited from MN. 6'9" big with a 7'7" (!) wingspan and legit guard skills. Not sure he'll play much this year, but definitely keep an eye on him in the future
It’s now official: The Oklahoma City Thunder are the West’s No. 1 seed for the first time since 2013.
OKC went from having the No. 2 overall pick to being the No. 1 seed in two years.
Been asked recently about what my board looks like... I can't share the whole thing yet (130+ deep ATM), but my lottery is locked in.
Feel free to pick it apart. I know those random Alabama fans will.
Appreciate y'all!
This was my favorite Udoka Azubuike sequence of the night. He broke up a few lob passes tonight but watch him run the floor here and finish the oop off another great pass by Trent Forrest
Who I think should be All-Stars thus far
East:
Starters:
Kemba Walker
Jimmy Butler
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Pascal Siakam
Joel Embiid
Reserves:
Ben Simmons
Bradley Beal
Khris Middleton
Jayson Tatum
Domantas Sabonis
Malcolm Brogdon
Bam Adebayo
Honorable Mention: Evan Fournier
New piece up on
@RollCallSN
. I spoke to Paul White (
@pdubbb13
) about Summer League, aspects of his game and some future goals. The former Oregon star has been a standout for the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas thus far.
Wrote a bit about some of the guys the Jazz have brought in for pre-draft workouts thus far. Getting a good look at some potential UDFA/E10 options. Defense and positional size are a must this summer, and the workouts indicate that:
Here's my preseason top-30 for 2024.
Wasn't keen on releasing preseason shit in the past but I did for 2023 and it held stronger than I expected. So... here we go again.
Appreciate the discourse, love and support of my thoughts/work.
@Jinglesss
I sometimes wonder to myself ‘is the NBA really gonna give the Jazz three regular season awards?’
But Gobert, Clarkson and Snyder are so far ahead in those races to the point where I don’t even think it’s a conversation. They’d all have to fall hard to lose those awards IMO

Here it is! My 2023 Board.
Big thank you to the guys at
@Upsideswings
for letting me publish it on the site. Be on the lookout for more stuff from me on there and be sure to check out all the other great content while you're there!
Much love.
He got overhyped quick and it led to unfair expectations. FFS — I saw comps to Haliburton and Stockton.
He’s a disappointment if you bought that. Rookie guards need time. I was never that high on him to begin with… but the passing flashes have been nice to see.
