Yesterday:
- Bo Nix: 23/27, 287 yards, 3 TD
- TJ Finley: 22/28, 298 yards, 4 total touchdowns
- Robby Ashford: 9 carries, 51 yards, 3 TD
And Harsin couldn’t figure out how to make any of that work
Several Auburn players have used their likeness to fundraise for a teammate who’s retrofitting his home for his dad after an ALS diagnosis. But sure, go off.
So ULM can directly pay the Rodriguez family a six figure salary and have the son be eligible by the NCAA, but Sharife Cooper’s dad is an agent and he has to sit out 11 games. Got it.
Fun fact of the day - every top 100 player that has signed with Auburn and Bruce Pearl since 2017 has been an NBA Draft pick.
2021 - Jabari Smith
2020 - Sharife Cooper, JT Thor
2019 - Issac Okoro
2017 - Chuma Okeke, Davion Mitchell
Seems like an easy choice to me.
Under Armour: “BALL FOUR MORE”
Auburn Twitter: “I don’t even know what it means!”
UA: “No one knows what it means, but it’s provocative.”
AT: “No it’s not!”
UA: “It gets the people going!”
All-Auburn Hype Team, Pearl Era:
PG: Samir Doughty
SG: KD Johnson
SF: Malik Dunbar
PF: Horace Spencer
C: Dylan Cardwell
6th Man: Cinmeon Bowers
I’m fully convinced this team would beat about 25 NBA teams in Auburn Arena.
Auburn with either an interim or soon-to-be-fired head coach.
LSU reeling off of NCAA infractions.
An impending hurricane.
Let’s get weird next weekend.
Chris Moore deserves all the praise tonight. He didn’t have the stat line other guys did, but he set the tone and Alabama didn’t have ANYONE that wanted to play with his physicality. Such a good game for him.
Y’all are insane if you actually think you can justify Hugh Freeze. His only good mark on his resume was beating Saban and we fired Gus for doing that more than Freeze
I started buying season tickets for
@AuburnMBB
in the Final 4 season. I started buying season tickets for
@AuburnGym
this year and they make the Final 4. Which sport am I adding next?
This reads like a lot more than “Miller brought Miles the gun” and more like “Miller helped set a road block for the victims after bringing Miles the gun”
Made it back to a warm bed for the night, so time for my thoughts I guess.
This season has been a blast. Auburn basketball was pure joy from the time they took the stage at Toomers Corner in October. Literally every player on the roster is so easy to cheer for,
So with Auburn not going to Nashville, can we get Bruce in studio to help cover all the games? Or better yet, a coaches film room with Bruce?
@SECNetwork
make it happen
I inherently knew this Final Four Duke/UNC game was huge, but I just did the ESS-EEE-SEE thing and compared it to football - This is Auburn/Bama in the CFP Semifinal, in Saban’s final season, after Auburn won the regular season Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa. Wild shit.
All the toxic immature things you think about Lane (which may or may not be true, that’s not the point here), are verified about Hugh Freeze. This will be an embarrassment to my alma mater, and we deserve every drop of it if we hire him
Y’all are insane if you actually think you can justify Hugh Freeze. His only good mark on his resume was beating Saban and we fired Gus for doing that more than Freeze
I’m exhausted being petty about Hugh Freeze’s employment at Auburn University. But that pales in comparison to how I feel about DJ Durkin.
@JohnCohenAD
you simply cannot allow Durkin to represent this university.
I’ve played it out, I’ve crunched the numbers, and I’ve figured out my ideal bowl game for this postseason.
On Monday, January 2nd, at 11:00 AM local time in the Cotton Bowl… The G5-representative UCF Knights, led by one Gus Malzahn, face off against Nick Saban and the Tide
Providing this 2022 enrollment data just for funsies:
- Univ of Alabama has about 42% in-state enrollment, with another 16% from border states.
- Auburn has about 60% in-state enrollment, plus another 20% from border states.
This one’s gonna hurt. Wild to think he’s been here since the fall after the final four run. Through all of Covid. The postseason ban. Backing up a freshman as a junior.
Jaylin’s an Auburn man and I’m thrilled with the way he’s playing in his last year
Jaylin Williams better get an absolute massive ovation on Senior Day not only for his 5 seasons with the team but especially the fact that he stayed loyal to Auburn his entire collegiate career when he could have easily gone elsewhere.
The addition of Walker Kessler means each of the the top three players out of Georgia in the 2020 class will be Auburn products.
Auburn also signed the
#4
player in 2017, the
#2
/
#4
players in 2019, the
#1
player in 2021, and oh hey look a crystal ball for the
#1
guy in 2022.
Best home events of the year:
1. Auburn vs UK basketball
2. Auburn vs Bama basketball
3. Auburn vs UF gym
4. Auburn vs Bama gym
5. Idk sure I guess the Iron Bowl
Auburn at LSU football and Auburn at Ole Miss basketball were huge too though
What a fun year for this
@AuburnGym
team. Today didn’t go the way they wanted but watching their journey to the mountain top was a joy. Pumped to see what they have for next year 🦚

This roster, even if it wasn’t the best in the SEC, even if there was a “talent” gap, played well enough to win 9 games this season. These guys have heart, and I’m proud of the way they represented my school.
They were let down by the head coach.
Okay, I’ll start the movement.
This is KenPom’s “Player of the Year” page, which attempts to combine offensive and defensive value into a single metric.
It’s time we talk about
@icyywen
as an All-American level PG 🦚
Also on the list:
Steve Kerr
Michael Jordan
Lavar Ball
Adolph Rupp
Bill Walton
Shug Jordan
John Heisman
Teddy Roosevelt
Matthew McConaughey
Vladimir Putin
Source tells me, if Chris Mack is gone as Louisville's coach, here's some names of interest:
Kenny Payne
Bruce Pearl
Will Wade
Nate Oats
Not saying there's interest from Louisville, but I'm told Pearl "wants it badly."
Payne also strong interest.
I do want to take this moment while everyone's going full Peacock to reiterate a very specific point - this wasn't just me. I may have written it down, but
@SonOfCrow2
and
@AUChief
are the ones who spoke it into existence. Much love to my brothers!
Imagine this time last year someone telling you Auburn would have two first round picks in the front court, Freddie Freeman would be signing elsewhere, and Bo Nix would be a Duck.
My brain would've exploded
If you prefer the HD version.
Bryan Harsin asked what his 'gameplan' is for naming a starting QB after TJ Finley replaced Bo Nix in Auburn's comeback win.
Non-zero chance Auburn is playing in two College Gameday road games in the first five weeks. THEN we host a likely top 10 Georgia. Welcome to the P5 Bryan Harsin!
Interesting tidbit I just came across - Since 2000, only three basketball programs have both a regular season and SECT title. They are:
- Kentucky (10 Reg Season, 9 SECT)
- Florida (6, 4)
- Auburn (1, 1)

Justin Powell is expected to be immediately eligible at Washington State next season. Should have significant opportunity to put his stamp on the team offensively, similar to his freshman year at Auburn where he excelled playing point guard and shot 44% for 3.
Duke’s got a great contingent here tonight, but Auburn fans are chipping in to help the Spartan support. We owe them that much after helping us out in 2013
