You got a pass for falling off a motorcycle. You got a pass for lying about it. I (we) was ready to give you a standing ovation upon your return. And instead you decide to tarnish your entire legacy and critically cost your team. I’m ranting, I know, but I just cannot believe it.
Peter Seidler loved the Padres as much as I do. As much as you do. As much as we all do. And put his money where his mouth was. A San Diego legend, forever. Devastated.
dancing to All the Small Things in the rain, that was because of you Peter Seidler. selling out Petco Park on a random Tuesday in May, that was because of you Peter Seidler. this generation of new Padres fans, they're because of you Peter Seidler. We're gonna miss you forever.
Lockout/delayed Spring Training. Tatis injury. Opening Day disaster. Some beautiful Alfaro moments. Manny playing out of his mind. Trade deadline (Soto!). Tatis news. Taking down the Mets in NY. Eliminating LA.
A rollercoaster of a season, but my fav one yet. Can’t WAIT for 23!
If you’re not a Padres fan or you weren’t able to watch the last month for whatever reason, I need you to understand how much Grisham was struggling. As automatic of a strikeout as I have ever seen. For him to turn it on in the postseason like this… just insane. Love Grish!!!
I was just chilling in the right field corner when this guy told me to whip out my phone and take a photo. Had a conversation with him and couldn’t have been a cooler dude. Asked me about school and driving up etc. LOVE Blake Snell 🤎💛
Took a couple hours to sulk, but man what a ride. What a fun group. The electricity at Petco… I’ll never forget it and I’ll crave it til we get to do it again. Future is bright. Tatis, Soto, Machado should be special. Today, tomorrow, and forever, I’m proud to be a Padres fan.
If an NLCS with Manny Machado, Bryce Harper, Juan Soto, Zack Wheeler, Yu Darvish, Kyle Schwarber, Blake Snell, Aaron Nola, Josh Hader, JT Realmuto, and Joe Musgrove doesn’t excite you… maybe you’re not as much of a baseball fan as you think you are.
I love San Diego so much. I love all of you so much. I’m so happy for all of you who have loved this team longer than I have. There have been many lows, so let’s enjoy this high. The casual fan to the diehard fan. I love you. I’m just so happy.
#TakeTheCake
Screw Max Scherzer. Screw Trea Turner. I’m over it. I’m so damn proud of this Padres roster. Every last guy on it. They’re ours and we roll with them. Period. Gonna be delicious when the Pads knock Scherzer and his teammates out of the playoffs this year. Let’s freaken go Pads.
I know this narrative is kinda tired, so forgive me, but I can’t get this out of my head. Can you imagine if Manny Machado did this? I’ve never had a problem with the Mets and I’ve had great interactions with their fans, but that was trash all the way around last night.
A lot of people come up to say hi during the games and I ALWAYS love it. This is by far the coolest one yet. Dave McCary and Kyle Mooney could not have been cooler!!!
Everywhere you go in San Diego, people are decked in Padres gear. They’re selling out almost every single night. This city is ready to explode with Padres pride. This season makes me so sad. Really feels like a massive lost opportunity unless this magically turns around.
To all the baseball fans laughing at me/Padres fans right now… have at it. You’re absolutely in the right. I feel like I’m supposed to be mad at you, but I’m not. I’m embarrassed. Awful for the team, the city, the sport. All of it.
Peter Seidler instilled a hope in San Diego that I will never forget. He made my hometown fall in love with baseball again. An incredible man, even more so for his efforts away from this baseball team. To say he will be missed is a massive understatement. 💔
Tatis leadoff single that he stretches into a double. Soto walk on ten pitches. Xander lines a single into left too hard for Tatis to score. Manny hits a slam. Petco goes crazy. Summer 2023.
Just went for a bike ride on the 101 with my Tatis jersey on holding a Padres flag up in the air with my right hand.
Cars honked and people yelled Go Padres! I will never, ever forget this day.
Fernando Tatis Jr. should never play an MLB game without a San Diego Padres jersey on. Give him whatever he wants. If he wants a one year deal at 56 years old, you give him a one year deal.
Last thing for now. Thank you so much to everyone on this app. I so cherish being able to share the love of the Padres with so many diehard fans and that’s not possible without this group of people. Love you, even the ones who annoy me a lil bit, with all my heart. Go Pads.
The Padres have pissed off the rest of the owners by… building a cool ballpark and paying good players to play in it. And the fans enjoy that. Revolutionary stuff!
They had their ace on the mound. Pads had their four starter. Didn’t get the job done but set themselves up well for the rest of the series by keeping it close. Huge shout out to the bullpen tonight. Super confident in Darvish tomorrow. Good thing it’s best of 5.
Respect to LA, man. That is one incredible team. Padres fans truly made the difference tonight and last night. Couldn’t possibly be more proud of our Pads!!!! 💛🤎
On the freeway back home with rally towels out the window. People are honking and celebrating. This is so special. Everything I’ve ever dreamed of. Three more wins. Let’s go!!!
