Nico Hoerner said today that he's already exchanged texts with Nick Madrigal. They played together a little when they were growing up and played against each other for a long time while Nico was at Stanford and Nick was at Oregon State. Both drafted in the 1st round in '18. #Cubs

How cool is this: Alec Mills’ no-hitter is not only the second no-no ever recorded at Miller Park, but also the second by a Cub. Almost eight years to the day, Carlos Zambrano tossed the the first no-hitter in the park’s history on Sept. 14, 2008 against the Houston Astros.

Although I like most of Russ' stuff I can't wrap my brain around how many days off that a banal writer gets. It rubs me the wrong way the the Cubs beat writer tweets about not watching the Cubs. That's weak.
