I don’t have the “perfect” body if there is such a thing. But my goodness I’m so proud of where I’ve come. From 8 stone heavier, pregnancy with twins, blood transfusions, wheelchair use. Here I am standing, good iron levels and feeling positive.

This picture went viral few year ago. Since then I’ve asked for a disabled badge as AJ has a walker & both have cerebral palsy. It’s been denied … If 1/2 as many people who enjoyed this pic signed this petition I’d be in a good place to make a change

The current rules relating to blue badges have specific criteria relating to children under three. I want the government to review these rules, including the equalities impacts on disabled children.

It is sinking in how poorly I’ve been through pregnancy. Vomiting frequently, lost weight, 2 x blood transfusions, iron transfusion, in wheelchair. Recovery from emergency c-section is a doddle in comparison. I also wouldn’t change it for the world. I’s little face

It has been 2 years to the the day that my brother was released from prison. The joy of being able to go out with him without being subjected to searches (although have to confess to quite liking the drug dogs & having a cuddle) is amazing. I want this thread to be a celebration

Today I lost my Bubbe. She would have been 92 on Tuesday. I’ve not seen her since March, spoke to her regularly. Her mind was still sharper than mine on my best day. Writing 3 eulogies in 12 months feels pretty rubbish.

My favourite part of the day is reading the girls’ bed time story. Tonight it was Rufus: the bat who loved colours. IJ loved it and was cooing through it and looking. AJ thought it was naff. She was wrong

My daughter wrote an email to her wellbeing manager at school. It explained that her mummy has tourettes and she makes lots of noises as well. She was worried about getting into trouble. The response she recieved was amazing 😍 but also how brave is my little girl.

Teaching a boy with #tourettes . He was told that he couldn't do his 11+ because 'no one with Tourettes can pass'. So I showed him my pic at Downing St yesterday and told him about my masters degree. We must let children explore their potential not limit with labels. I have TS.

Today I’m 6 (TW suicide) 1/ I’m 6 because today is the anniversary of my attempt at suicide. I had begged for help. From community services, the crisis team and A&E. I was simultaneously told I was too complicated to be helped by my GP yet not unwell enough to be supported

Couldn’t put this book down. Clare demystifies PDA & is clear about complications of it not being a diagnosis but a profile & walks through carefully journal articles to help educators to understand. Really clear approach to thinking of ways to support kids with PDA in school

Difficult weekend; but girls have gained 40grams each, still with hospital outreach team but heading in right direction. Sparkle (black cat) has eye specialist tomorrow. Spartacus (tabby cat) has oncology appointment Thursday.

Thank you to everyone’s advice regarding A & her squint. She has a double squint which means that patches aren’t suitable. Glasses may help & she received them yesterday. I think you can all agree that she gets 10/10 for cuteness.

Our beautiful cat Spartacus’ has lung cancer & there is nothing they can do. We are bringing him home tomorrow to cuddle him before we say goodbye, feed him his favourite food & say goodbye to him at home in the next few days. Spartacus for 7 years you’ve been excellent.

My day will consist of tea and scones with my mum in the afternoon. My Great grandmother was a refugee from the pogroms. Lived in poverty for many years. Our family don’t have the most salubrious history, but I hope I’m giving back to the community.
