Don’t doubt many parents may’ve supported school closure. They were lied to about the risks to kids and role of kids in transmission. Either way, school closures violated the rights of kids and were useless. Popularity does not furnish a defense to immorality.

There’s been a lot of revisionist history about school closures and COVID. The truth is that before we had vaccines, school closures were necessary to protect the adults working in schools and the adults the kids lived with (particularly grandparents and vulnerable parents).
