Cyberpunk 2077 is a prime example of why I am and will always be against cross-gen games. At some point the old hardware just won't cut it. The PS4 and Xbox One version of Cyberpunk should have been cancelled.
We're ecstatic to announce Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Marvel's Wolverine are coming exclusively to PlayStation 5. Stayed tuned for more information!

I'm getting Elden Ring but all this hyperbolic language about it being the greatest game of all time is kind of turning me off. Why must every game either be trash or a masterpiece these days? There's no middle ground anymore.
So if 30fps is now trash does that retroactively make beloved games like The Last of Us 2 and Final Fantasy VII Remake trash as well? Was playing God of War or Ghost of Tsushima a terrible experience at 30fps when they came out? Just trying to figure out the logic here.
I don't know how people with 9 to 5 jobs can play games during the week. Like, I want to play Elden Ring right now but I'm exhausted and just want to relax with a movie lol But I guess that's what weekends are for!
Everyone gave Microsoft heat (myself included) for having cross-gen games. Now it's okay when Sony does it AND at $70 a pop? Where's the consistency? It sucks when MS does something but it's okay if Sony does the same thing? Again, I love Sony, but I gotta call this out.
I don't understand why people get so worked up over Metacritic scores. Horizon Forbidden West got an 89? So what? The game is awesome and a must-buy if you own PS4/PS5. It isn't a lesser game because it didn't get a 90.
Bethesda's Pete Hines is apologizing to frustrated PlayStation players who want to play Starfield but won't be able to because it's an Xbox and PC exclusive.
Some claim they want the Microsoft / Activision deal to fail because they don't want Xbox to have a monopoly in gaming. However, these same people also want Xbox to fail... thus giving PlayStation an effective monopoly. The mental gymnastics are interesting.
Just like Microsoft didn't spend $7.5 billion to share Bethesda games with its competitors, it also didn't spend $70 billion to share Acvitivion games. They're going to lock all those titles down eventually. It happened with Bethesda. Just saying.
PlayStation games on PC will not hurt console sales. Not everyone can afford a $4000 rig. Consoles will always be the primary home of PS games. PC will be a secondary location at best.
I love how people assume that criticizing Sony automatically means you think Microsoft is great. Stop deflecting the conversation and stay on topic. We ain't talking about Xbox. We're talking about PlayStation. Stop the fanboy nonsense.
If it wasn't for the Xbox + Bethesda showcase this E3 would have been a complete wash. And even MS doesn't need E3 to put on a showcase. We need something better. I think Summer Game Fest, while currently imperfect, will be the future. E3 ain't it.
Even the most extreme PS fans are upset right now. I never thought I'd see this. No one is making excuses for today's Showcase. This is good. Demand more companies. Don't just accept what's given. This applies to all mediums.
What's more disheartening than PlayStation's current direction is the fans making excuses for their behavior. Stop being loyal to plastic! If a company messes up, call them out. Don't blindly follow because of some console war nonsense. Demand better.
Microsoft's goal isn't to sell individual copies of games. Its ultimate goal is to bolster Game Pass to raise the subscriber count. We can't think in terms of game sales. MS is not playing by the old rules. When you realize that, the company's actions will make more sense.
At this rate, I'm looking at the very real possibility that Elden Ring may be the first Souls I can't beat. Crazy considering I got the plat in Bloodborne. But whether it's on my own or with others, I can't get past this first boss. I guess age has finally caught up w me lol
I own six standard DualShock 4 controllers and a bunch of 3rd party ones. Am I upset they won't work with PS5 games? No. Those are OLD controllers for an OLD console. I don't see why this is an issue. Gaming was never a cheap hobby.
If you think devs can't cancel a game announced for a specific platform, please refer to The Last Guardian. Originally announced for PS3, it eventually released only on PS4. At some point it's best to leave old tech behind. This is what should have happened with Cyberpunk 2077.
Microsoft messed up by trying to raise the price of XBL. That's understood. But we should stay mad at them even after they reversed that decision? Seriously, what would make people happy? I'm not understanding the continued hate. It's over and gamers won. Go enjoy your weekend.
If Nintendo or Sony bought Bethesda no one would doubt those games would be exclusive. But Microsoft buys Zenimax and they're not making them exclusive? Explain the logic here.
I don't get why everyone's surprised Phil Spencer said Xbox can't "out-console" Sony and Nintendo. That's just a fact. Why do you think Xbox shifted its focus from selling consoles to selling subscriptions? It had to choose a different path. This isn't confusing.
All that outrage about the DualShock 4 not being compatible with PS5 games disappeared overnight when people got their hands on the DualSense. Isn't that interesting.
So I'm an Xbot for saying Game Pass is a great service but I'm also a Pony for saying $30 for Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut is a fair price. Twitter and its black and white world view is interesting.
Days Gone is back in the conversation because of Cyberpunk 2077. People bring up a good point though. Days Gone was rightly criticized for its bugs yet this doesn't seem to be an issue with Cyberpunk 2077. Why the seeming double standard?
If Sony came out with a God of War collection that was only available for six months they'd be crucified (and rightly so). Nintendo does it and people don't blink. I don't get it.
I think Ubisoft focusing more on F2P games is a huge mistake. Those kind of games make bank but they're not actually games. They exist purely to leech money from customers. I can't rock with "games" like that.
The perception is that Microsoft is gobbling up studios after purchasing Bethesda and Activision Blizzard. But MS only went after Bethesda. Activision came to MS and MS wasn't about to turn that down. Very different circumstances.
