I’ve lived and breathed every World Cup since ‘82, Keegan’s missed header v Spain, Maradona’s hand of God, Gazza’s tears and penalty heartache, Croatia semi final loss last time. Qatar starts in a couple of days and I’m struggling to garner a modicum of enthusiasm, is it just me?
Our whippet Skye had to go to ‘doggy day care’ today for the first time, due to work commitments. I was a bit worried, but this photo sent to me by the owner has reassured me and cracked me up in equal measure. Love the regal pose all around and paw on the other dogs head! 😂
Here’s a question, who are the biggest band/artist you’ve seen as a support act? I’ve got a good one, saw Radiohead as support to Sultans Of Ping FC at a pub venue in Stoke in ‘92. Watched Radiohead with complete indifference waiting for The Sultans to come on! Shows what I know!
Just a quick message to wish all my Twitter friends and fellow music enthusiasts a very Merry Christmas. It’s been a tough couple of years but this little corner of Twitter has massively helped to keep me going and has given me something positive to focus on. Best wishes all…
10 minutes into todays works training course and one of the most dreaded sentences in the English language has just been uttered ‘Okay folks, let’s kick things off with an ice-breaker exercise’ 🤦♂️
Oh no, this is awful news, Andy Fletcher has passed away. Founding and integral member of Depeche Mode whose played on some of my all time favourite albums, not to mention an absolutely top bloke! To say I’m gutted is an understatement, RIP Fletch

Just watching the Tears For Fears documentary on BBC4, looking back now it was pretty dark subject matter they wrote about for the most part, but blimey they knew how to write a pop tune though. Most of their stuff stands up pretty well 30 odd years on I’d say. Great band!!
I’m 52 and spend most of my nights tossing and turning in bed complaining about various niggles and aches and pains. Sir Paul McCartney is 80 and headlining Glastonbury, we’ll never see his like again, living legend!
#Glastonbury2022
I’m reading the devastating news that Mark Lanegan has passed away. The guy is responsible for some of the finest music you’ll hear both with Screaming Trees and his solo work. Listen to Sweet Oblivion, Dust, Whiskey For The Holy Ghost and Bubblegum amongst others. So sad, RIP 🙏
Anyone for a music poll? 😉It’s rapidly closing in on the end of 2023, which can only mean one thing…no not Santa, it’s time to start considering your list for

By my calculations that’s 44 years between Kate Bush’s 2 UK no. 1 singles, must be a record. If it gets a new generation of people listening to her fantastic, unique music, that can only be a good thing in my book. What a talent!

Good to see Paul Merson being so open and honest about his issues with alcoholism and gambling addiction and even better to see the guy in a much better place in his life and battling through it all. Hopefully this might help people with similar problems watching it
