"We know many of our members are suffering from long Covid, with their lives adversely affected making them unable to work. Facing the threat of losing full sick pay should they remain off sick from a condition some could argue is an occupational hazard, is neglectful and unfair.

Interested to hear from others in the mental health land if it is the policy elsewhere that " If a patient no longer engages with our services and support and they do not meet criteria to be detained under the Mental Health Act, they are discharged back to the care of their GP."

This goes entirely against the ethos of my field Assertive Outreach Even a rudimentary understanding of severe mental illness is enough to know that some people who are very ill either can’t/won’t engage Engagement is a two way street and removing support is simply unethical

He said the day he realised he had to leave the job he'd been in for 30 years "I realised that I’d just had it, I’d had enough, I couldn’t do it anymore. I realised when I looked inside myself that there was nothing inside me anymore. I’d used it all up, it was all gone.”
