It will never not be amazing to me how Park Chan-wook's Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, which is astonishingly similar in terms of plot and themes, released just a year after Ek Hasina Thi. Two modern masters near-simultaneously working on similar material and delivering knockouts!

The first time I heard Kahaan Hoon Main, I remember being so startled by Jonita Gandhi. Here was a singer sounding both like Whitney Houston and Kavita Krishnamurthy in a sparkling, dreamy #ARRahman composition. That sparse opening still transports me somewhere far and beautiful.
