Raul Julia was dealing with terminal stomach cancer whilst filming the Street Fighter movie, and died shortly after. He's the best thing about the movie. He did interviews saying he took the role in spite of his health because his kids loved Street Fighter II. What a legend.

Lands as a resource system brings so much to Magic that other card games wish they could have. It's wildly simplistic to observe "sometimes you flood" without actually taking into account, fixing, resource denial, utility lands, risk/reward, mulligan decisions.

You ramp in EDH doesn't have to cost 2 mana. Its a restrictive mentality that ignores the added benefits of cards like Commander's Sphere, Harrow and Lantern. You arent playing on the EDH Pro Tour. You probably arent playing CEDH. You can play 3 mana ramp spells and rocks. 🙂

This take sucks. People having their deck banned out from under them and being unable to afford a different deck absolutely sucks. It's a bug, and we should work towards empathy and solutions. We should not celebrate financial gatekeeping of hobbies and competitive spaces.

I still find this mind set to be old & out dated held by people who can't adapt. if 24 hours kills your tourney performance then you weren't going to win. if a ban forces you to buy a new deck that you can't afford, you shouldn't play magic in a competative way.

If Wizards of the Coast changed the rules of Evoke to protect Fury and Friends instead of banning MH2 Mythics, I wpuld fucking riot. What is MTG Twitter smoking tonight? Companion was a unique case, let's not encourage them to eratta a whole mechanic again. Behave.
