“There's no such thing as being in the wrong place at the wrong time."
Yes, hell there is. Let’s discuss our defensive backs trying to cover Jalin Hyatt last October.
On this day, 14 years ago, Alabama made quite possibly the greatest hire in its program history when Mal Moore brought Nick Saban from the Miami Dolphins to Tuscaloosa.
Nick Saban has posted a 169-23 record with 7 SEC Championships and five national titles. Peep the hair.
I picture Saban driving around the country right now in an old Dodge Monaco police car and telling the guys one-by-one, “We’re getting the band back together!”
Obviously not ideal game times this Friday for people wanting to see

We need The Disch PACKED for Texas Tech!
If you have tickets you don’t plan to use please DM me so we can get the seats filled!
Hook ‘em. 🤘🏼
The rest of the SEC can go 0-12 every year, be saddled with probation, and lose their academic accreditations as far as I am concerned. This is an official Tier 1 Gump position that has no room for compromise.
Is it too self-absorbed of me to have expected our staff to make some sort of adjustments since this thing started going downhill on…well…our opening drive?
It was a tough ask to beat

Through the 2022 Auburn game Alabama was 537-236-33 or .687 all time excluding the Bryant and Saban eras. Still the best all-time in the SEC. Math is hard.

@BowBeforeBama
Bama has had the luxury of having the 2 greatest coaches in CFB history. Without Saban and Bear, Bama is 400-217-26 - a win % of 62.2%. Good enough for

all-time behind Clemson. 8 of Bama's other coaches won more than 60%.
Without the GOATs, Bama is just another program
My daughter was 8 in 2006 & said, “I hope Mal Moore doesn’t settle on Rich Rodriguez when it’s known Nick Saban would like to get back into college football as there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos that will be a home run and so that’ll make it a 4-0 ball game.”
Talked to my daughter (8) about the covid situation this morning.
She said “It’s just like climate change. They won’t do anything because they say it’s too expensive, but it will end up costing humans.”
She’s more correct than she knows, the parallel’s run deeper.
Blue checks wanted Maurice Smith to be immediately eligible as a back-up DB transfer within the SEC to spite Coach Saban, so this is what they’re gonna get every year now.

“I just played Augusta yesterday with Ken Griffey, Jr.”
Has there ever been a greater flex before 8:30 in the morning than that one by Coach Saban right there?

2016 vs. Clemson: "No way Saban tries an onside kick here."
2018 vs. UGA: "Now way Saban goes with a true Freshman off the bench at QB in the 2nd half."
One week later: "No way Saban hires Hugh Freeze."
Coach Saban’s direct but subtle message to Arch Manning during his segment (relayed from a pal):
“I told Jalen to go where the best players are. If you’re a QB, always go where you have the best players.”
Four games into the Tommy Rees Era of Alabama offense, and the man is already finding his own niche way to get into the Alabama Football record book. A thread... 1/
@Crunk_Ratchet
Alabama all time: .749 winning percentage (best in the SEC by 7.5%)
Alabama all time less Saban/Bryant: .687 winning percentage (still best in the SEC by 1.3%)
It really is the height of pompous douchebaggery for people like
@DanWolken
to think “chaos” to finely-tuned 20 year-old athletes is a bunch of 40-something white guys’ written columns posted in rags and on nearly dead websites that the athletes don’t even see or GAS about.
COLUMN: Are Alabama, Brandon Miller finally showing signs of wear from the constant barrage of chaos? The long weeks ahead promise to only bring more via
@USATODAY
While we’re considering putting off championship games until a team can be at full strength, could we get a redo of the 2017 game with a healthy Eddie Jackson and Bo Scarbrough available to grind out first downs on the ground in the second half?
