Dads drawing from a book we made about my long term heroin & crack addiction. A real moment shared and I firmly believe I wouldn't have lasted two more weeks if it hadn't happened. We did fight it together & 13 years ago won that battle. The Joan of Arc to my 100 Years War.

12 years ago today (minus 2 days) my mum and dad took me down to rehab in Bournemouth where I was to take the first steps away from a 15 year addiction I was incredibly lucky. Through all the stress and pain I put them through they never gave up on me and always had faith 1/3

My dad paid a company to print a shirt he designed. It was the Ukrainian flag as a metaphor. He sent a coloured image of his drawing and an example sketch to show how he wants the flag placed on the shirt. This is what he got back. Very Spinal Tap.

As many of my dad's friends know, he felt things deeply and he expressed his feelings completely. If he found something beautiful wether it be music, art, human connection or expressions of love, you'd look at him and see the furrowed brow and the eyes suddenly waterlogged.

This line up. ❤️ How lucky we were. I had a ticket for reading 96 but I swapped it with someone for a carton of Ribena because I was exceptionally thirsty.

Plans for @tonyhusband1 's social media. A final thank you for everything as I step away from... whatever it is I've been doing and a little bit on the song we left my Dad as we let his physical self go. Thanks everyone and love from all of us.

Almost 3 months sober. Finally started feeling sane again. Realising how out there my thinking and behaviour had been over the past year. Kidneys still hurt at times though.

So as I sat in the car with my Dad, on the way back from a job, literally discussing these fears my phone pinged and this message came through. I let out an uncontrollable sigh of relief & held it up to @tonyhusband1 , who, of course, started crying. It was a special moment. 3/3
