Officers in Kilmarnock are currently dealing with two serious incidents in the town at this time, one at Crosshouse Hospital and a second in Portland Street. These areas are cordoned off and the public are asked to avoid them at this time.

LARGEST CARGO AIRCRAFT LANDING AT GLASGOW PRESTWICK AIRPORT

POLICE SAFETY WARNING - DRONGAN AND COALHALL
Officers are asking residents to be vigilant after a report has been received of a sighting of what is believed to be a black panther in the fields near to the B730. Do not approach it, contact Police via 101.
Police Scotland is currently dealing with 3 potentially linked incidents in the Kilmarnock area. The first occurred around 7.45pm outside Crosshouse Hospital, the second around 20 minutes later on Portland Street, and the third, a serious road crash, on the A76, around 8.30pm.

7 YEAR OLD ELLIE RECEIVES BRAVERY AWARD
We were delighted to recognise the brave actions of 7 year old Ellie from Kilmarnock, who saved her mum’s life by phoning 999 when her mum fell unconscious following a seizure.
On Thur 7th March Insp Jacqui Melvin completed her last shift with Police Scotland before enjoying a well deserved retirement. Colleagues from Ayrshire Division wish you all the very best and thanks you for all your hard work during your service.
Local byelaws prohibit the consumption of alcohol in public places across Ayrshire. Large amounts of alcohol has been seized in North Ayrshire with a robust approach being taken to those intent on causing disorder and antisocial behaviour on our beaches.

led to the rescue of 14 dogs & seizure of Class B drugs, believed to be cannabis, from a house in Logan. A 24 y/old man was arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences.
A 28 year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery on a 90 year-old woman in Cameron Drive, Kilmarnock on Tuesday, 20 July. He is due before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, 23 July. A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.

Officers from Ayrshire's Road Policing Department stopped a vehicle near to Irvine travelling at a speed of 130 miles per hour earlier today. The man driving will be reported for dangerous driving. Remember the road is not a race track.

Emergency services are currently dealing with an incident outside Crosshouse Hospital where a car exploded around 2.30pm.
A man and a woman are being treated in hospital. Enquiries into the cause are ongoing however there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

Jagtar Singh (51) has today been convicted of the murder of 38 year old Ansar Shah in October 1993.
He stood before the High Court in Glasgow today where he was handed a lengthy sentence, almost 25 years after the murder took place.
We can confirm that Jack Thomson, 13, reported missing from Kilmarnock has been traced safe and well.

A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder on Soulis Street, Kilmarnock, around 6.15pm on Monday, 24 October. A 14-year-old male youth sustained serious injuries and was taken to QEUH for treatment.
