In 4th grade, my mom threw out all of my self-published comics that I would hustle at school. Few years later, I joined a metal band and focused more on photos and video instead of drawing/painting. My work at that time was mostly dark/evil photos that matched the music.

At 25, I published my first book, BA. KU. Kult Skating/Dark Rituals, which was a photographic homage to an underground skate cult. The members were all pro and would skate in balaclavas to escape the celebrity aspects of 2000s skateboarding.

This work blew up and led me to work for brands like Supreme, Vans, Levis, Lanvin, and The Elder Statesman. Most of them let me do my thing with their products or utilized my graphics for designs.

However, I eventually felt the need to move back to my roots and work on paper and canvas again. In 2020, when the pandemic was affecting everyone, I hunkered down in NYC and worked on massive artworks that included painting, sculpture, and drawing.

From 2010-2012, I went through a dark period. I was in a toxic relationship and addicted to heavy substances. I used Bitcoin to purchase goods on the Silk Road, from Afghanistan to my doorstep in Queens, NYC.

It was a success, as was my next book on the Anonymous hacker group - photo from the book below. This led to work in the editorial world, shooting for publications like Vice, Mass Appeal, and the NYT Magazine.

Although photography taught me about framing, I knew deep down that my calling was drawing and painting. After ignoring it for almost a decade, I began to paint and draw again in a studio in Brooklyn. I kept my work to myself, worked alone, and honed my skills for two years.

I wanted to hit Leake Street with a perfect starkness that @ohareyoufat 's work gives out. I had Tony's blessing to go ahead with the work despite neither ZK or Tony asking to see a final draft. They wanted me to have full creative freedom. I also had a wingman in ZK.

Baptised by Banksy in 2008 and cherished by the international graffiti and street-art community, Leake St encapsulates the notion of : "We are taking over." I've felt this from OMB and ZK, it was befitting to home this work in a place with a similar mindset.

It had to be London, and had to be big. We had a limited time window as ZK said he wanted to be there for it. My buddy, LDN based graf head "Sith One" (check insta) scoped out a super messy wall that needed blasting on the legendary Leake St. Leake St was perfect for OMB.
