Just my opinion. The Summer college league are just to long. Players end their season and go straight to the Summer college league. The summer league ends and they basically go straight back to school. End earlier and allow the players some time at home with their families.
It’s amazes me that HS kids who’ve spent thousands of dollars don’t know how to
Bunt, hit behind the runner, steal bases, run bases, take secondary leads, read pitches in the dirt when on base, hit the cutoff, know what a proper double cut is and what take a way a double means.…
We have lots of young men who don’t play for us follow us here on Twitter. And if they post something about their performance I will try to respond with something positive. If you have a problem with that well deal with it. At age 56 I’m not changing. It’s about the kids
These college baseball players are pouring their heart out for the names on the front of their jerseys. One and done college basketball players are playing for the name on the back of their jerseys. Guess who has a full ride scholorship
This is Coach Thomas. So for those of you who don’t know. On Sunday 1/28 I woke up with what I thought was severe heartburn. After a few minutes I realized I was way more serious. I called the squad who ran an ekg that showed a possible cardiac event happening. I was rushed to…
Kid does everything right. Gets an offer from a D1 and accepts it. The fall of his senior year in high school they rescind his offer. Luckily this young man is/was respectful enough not to burn bridges. He’s the type of young man who will be a team captain on a D1 team 1 day
Coaches talking trash to opposing players is as classless as it gets. I will never change my stance on that. In fact I’ll go to my grave feeling that way. That’s just me
Man how times have changed. Witnessed a HS pitcher stop the game and ask for a new ball because the one he had had a cut in it. Man there was a time when a pitcher would kill to throw a baseball with a cut in it
Saw a HS game the other day. The one thing that stood out was the number of bats in the dugouts. Everyone had their own. I remember many moons ago if you were lucky to have a bat you felt honored to share it. Our hs team had three bats in the dugout and one was filled with cement…
I see a lot of people criticizing 17 and 18 year-old kids for posting about being a
@PerfectGameUSA
all-american. Let them enjoy it, it's their time. Does it mean they've made it? No. Does it mean that they can quit working hard? No. They are being recognized, is that a bad thing
The sophomore
@PerfectGameUSA
WWBA Championships started today. There are college coaches there, yet players and teams showed no energy with many walking on and off the field. A few college coaches left the games early. This is a true story.
Someone ask why follow everyone that follows you. It’s called respect. It’s just something I believe, after all I’m no better than anyone out there and in the end we’re all supposed to be in this together
If you’re looking for a team that only travels to tournaments we’re not for you. If you want to come to Ohio practice, workout, play games and not eat McDonald’s for several straight weekends then we can help you. At
@Midland_Redskin
can do the same
I was asked why we don’t travel & play in tourneys every day of the summer. Staying close to the Nest we can practice more and still play the same amount of games against top notch teams. Our players can workout daily and gain skills to help them in life. It’s more than trophies
The NFL is a billion dollar business. Most of their stadiums are publicly funded. But yet they choose to put a game on a streaming network that most people probably don’t have. It’s Christmas time people are struggling. Do better NFL
I’m going to put this as Bluntly as possible. If you’re a pitcher that has aspirations of playing college baseball, you’d better get a feel for pitching and learn how to command the zone. These college coaches lively hoods are on the line they don’t have time for all that bs
Never understood the purpose of looking down on others. We’re all here for a short period of time so why not treat people with respect. I have a lot of people I don’t associate with but I’m not better than they are. Though they don’t eat at my table, I still hope they eat
One thing about the group we had in Ft Myers last week, They could eat. We spent almost 10g on food alone and we wouldn’t have it any other way. They play for us and it’s our responsibility to take care of them as though they are our own family.
I guess it gets worse. I got a DM. A couple players on a summer team that charges $2000+ pay to play fees were injured during high school. These were major injuries that would keep them from playing summer ball. Parents ask about a refund. The answer NO. But it’s about the kids
Our thoughts and prayers go out to a young man and his family tonight . Unfortunately his mother is not doing well and things are not looking good. This weighs heavy on my heart as no 17 year old should have to face life without his mom. Never be afraid to hug your mother and…

If this guy is a recruiting analyst how is he on the field coaching. I thought analysts were prohibited from on field Gameday coaching
What makes us different from a lot of summer teams. We stay together 24x7 for six weeks. There is no cost to the player. We do our best to help them with life skills and learn the game. From running bases, bunting, pfp’s, hit and run, cutoffs, double cutoffs, how to spot hitters…
I’ve had a few scouts ask. Calvin Ziegler will be throwing on Monday June 21, 2021 at Wright State University. Game is scheduled for 12 noon. This will probably be his final appearance before the draft. He topped out at 99 mph this past Monday
When players come to Ohio for 5 weeks in the summer it’s more than just Baseball. They learn life skills, that many don’t have. They learn to do laundry, cook, pick up after themselves, learn how to live with teammates, and how to budget time. Skills they need in college or pros.
young man and his family pay big💰 to play in Jupiter. They pay his travel. They are then told they have to pay for hotel ($150 night)+ food. There’s no way they can afford it. But there is no refund. But don’t worry we got him. We will house,feed and be sure he gets to his games
A lot of people don’t know this but Warhawk Coaches Ron Slusher, Warren Thomas, and Steve Moses have been have been coaching the Warhawks together since 1991
Latest update on Slush: He will be released tomorrow morning. He is humbled by all the thoughts and prayers. He wants everyone to know he will be taking very few phone calls in the next few weeks as he regains his strength
Can't believe that coaches actually get pissed at a kid when he signs with a professional team. It doesn't matter what you think, it's a family decision. Be happy for the young man
When warming up for a game, do not warm up in front of the dugouts. Warm up in the outfield in fair territory and about 10 feet away from the foul lines. Respect the field
We were asked why we don’t have more teams. The reason is we don’t want to charge kids to play. We may eventually have to charge a fee, but we don’t plan on it. If it ever comes to that, any fees raised will stay with that team and not redirected so the “A” teams play for free
So when player come to Ohio for in the Summer this it what happens
1. They are each given the same opportunity regardless of social or economical background
2. They Stay in a dorm styled building with the team and two or three coaches.
3. Players are assigned chores
When kids come to Ohio for In the summer it’s a scary time. Many have never been away from home for an extended period of time. But when those weeks are up they are grateful for the opportunity. It’s like a summer baseball camp. But it’s more than baseball it’s about life
From Slush: “I thank each of you for your kind words and concerns. It truly means a lot. I’m not sure I could’ve made it through this with out everyone’s support “
If a player reaches out with a question about baseball, I will try my hardest to help. I don’t care who they play for, who they’re affiliated with. None of that petty bs means a damn thing

BCS Championship in the summer of 2008, a tournament held here in Ft Myers
To each their own. But the fact that high school pitchers are throwing 3-4 innings in competitive games in the middle of January is just baffling. If I’m their HS coach I’d be upset
We don’t push our players for recruiting purposes on social media. We have built enough relationships over the years that we feel the best way to talk to college coaches about our guys is to call them. It’s more personal, respectful and there’s never anything left in translation
To unsigned players:
Never blow off a prospective coach. Listen to what they have to say. Be polite, respectful and appreciative. That school you don’t think your interested may become your best fit or option. Do not burn bridges
Due to Covid-19 we didn’t get to spend the same amount of time with our players as we usually do. But make no mistake the time we were together was great. 1st class young men who will do great things in life
Just a little advice to those college students returning home for the holiday break. Hangout with your parents as they won’t be around forever and they’re your biggest fan
