At 4 yrs old I picked up a softball. At 8 yrs old I learned how to pitch. At 14 yrs old I watched the Olympics on TV. I said “mom, dad, I want to do that.” Today. At 25. I can say that I am going to do that. For the 1st time ever, Mexico will be in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

I’m seeing a lot of people upset that we’re playing on a baseball field. Softball hasn’t been in the Olympics in 13 years. I don’t care what the field looks like, we’re happy it’s back & we’ve been waiting a very long time. Our play WILL NOT change. We’re GOOD enough to adapt.

Ok.. So football has 63 Staff members for roughly 120 athletes. All paid positions btw. While softball has ~ 20-25 athletes, with 3 paid coaches & sometimes a voly. Want to talk about ratios cuz that’s 6:1 vs 2:1. @NCAA make it make sense? A 4th paid coach? When FB has 63 staff?

People r so butt hurt about the Texas OU thing saying “it’s one conference game relax” Doesn’t matter who it is, every game in conference matters. Every game in conference is gritty & hard to win. Taking 1 game from somebody is important. Don’t dismiss it because it’s “one game”

I’m realizing that there’s a lot of ppl who just want speed. Velocity doesn’t win championships on its own. Stop focusing on training ur kids to throw hard & focus on how to get ppl out. 21 of them. You wana win games? Find what makes YOU effective & work like hell to perfect it.

Curious what the @NCAA will do for their senior athletes now that seasons are postponed/canceled. Moments to be had! Records to be broken! Maybe give them the opportunity to play next year? I’m not sure how the logistics would work out but it’s worth a shot.

My grandma asked me if I have games this weekend, I said yes. She said “well always remember how good you are.” And my papa said “don’t forget to push hard”. Idk what I did to have this kind of love shown to me, but I’ll never take it for granted.

My Junior year, we were playing Alabama, & i got this picture from @hayliemac8 today, proud to say, she cut my knee i stepped on her hand, & now we are friends. i am so blessed to know her! Softball is such a special sport. & it makes me miss @ArizonaSoftball more than usual 😻
