In 2010 Rex found a discarded sandwich in this hole in the cliff. Since that day we can't pass without him looking in it on the offchance the magic sarnie cliff offers up a sacrifice.

At the vets they had a garden. Beautiful sunshine. We sat on a blanket. I fed Rex treats as they shaved his paw & fitted his cannula. I told him I loved him, held his head in my arms as he looked up at me. He sighed and the glint went from his eye and he was gone.

He looked so peaceful and beautiful. I layed his head down. Kissed him.. then blubbed like I've never blubbed. The vets handed my tissues.. mainly for my snot. The end was painless & weirdly beautiful. The boy is beautifully pain free. #rex 💛

Farewell to the beautiful Gizzy. Passed away in her sleep. Rex's best friend & hot water bottle. Feeling very sad but so so grateful you spent 20 years pestering me. Always in front of the dogs when I was eating in case of scraps - there always was. Sleep well my little puma.

Someone's just asked me if I would take on another dog, (its owner passed away today)..& try to find it a home but if I do that I'll get attached & have another dog. Now I'm thinking of the confused dog wondering where his mums gone. I'm getting another dog aren't I.
