My ideal Rams uniform design direction + wardrobe. All of these already embrace their history, and they'll go the Chargers route by subtly touching it up while making it consistent. This is the biggest uniform must right now.
OG artist tagged ⬇️ below.
I didn't want to show this until much later, after I've made progress on this particular project. However, I think all uniform enthusiasts deserve to see this, particularly the direction I'm going in. This is one of what will be many variations of this look. The
#Broncos
hybrid.
I don't know why some consider the
#Saints
' current uniforms better than the
#Browns
when the Browns have everything the Saints should, which is a lot when you think about it. The Browns' ABAB structure and utilizing their entire wardrobe make it entirely superior.
I'm not one to say [variations of] "Every team should wear what they did in the 80s" with a copy/paste mindset, and I still won't, but it is damn near, if, impossible to find any flaws whatsoever with these for their time and even, especially, now.

Let's have a feast. The first road appearance for the
#Bears
throwbacks against a pleasantly vintage
#Lions
throwback. I don't expect it, but I'll dream.
Broken record hour: How are these still the
#Jaguars
uniforms? I don't have to even describe the traits, or lack thereof, but having the worst record in consecutive seasons really should've put the team to work on an actual aesthetic. For shame, for shame...
Agreed, but not every redesign has to be overthought nor complicated, let alone progressive. Unfortunately, it's because of that why we prefer throwbacks.
It's sad to consider how much time has passed when you consider that the most infamous
#Falcons
and
#Rams
are running out of time. 2024 is the last season in which both teams must wear their current uniforms. Good riddance.

@GridironUniform
It's no secret that the
#Commanders
' black alternate is the worst individual combo in NFL history, but I'll give the most egregious uniform change to the white jersey's nearly entire omission of gold, plus the mismatched gradients.

@GridironUniform
I know everyone wants the 90's
#Jaguars
uniforms, which I also do. However, my ideal look embraces their iconography, which I think would work for them, especially after the lifeless uniforms they have now.
The Super Bowl runner-up DESERVES a prime-time spot for the opening week, preferably Monday Night. This year, this has GOT to be that matchup.

Cowboys with matching silver pants and a navy facemask and the Raiders with a black facemask.
I can take or leave the navy facemask, but normal silver pants are a must for the Cowboys. The Raiders look outstanding with a black facemask.🔥🔥🔥
@fashion_nfl
Continuing to focus on their Honolulu blue/silver color scheme and ideally Northwestern stripes in any way.
Otherwise, just an updated version of the classics.
I don't know the common reception around these, but I'm a big fan of how unique these throwbacks are. Call me nuts, but I absolutely love that helmet. I've found it to stand out positively. In general, I appreciate the Bears' variety, even the orange for that reason.
Mismatched socks are a continuous uniform flaw for the
#Patriots
. However, more than anything, not promoting their navy/silver as their primary home combo and blatantly ignoring fans and uni-enthusiasts alike continues to hurt them.

@GridironUniform
Can't begin to tell you how much I don't understand the designer's ignorance towards stripes on the pants, making nearly every combo half-empty, the options inconsistent, and taking away fulfillment. How is that innovative?
Took a while without the font for the interior collar wordmarks.
Don't know if there will be one inside the 50s throwback collar or what color the swooshes will be on that jersey. Going with white for now (could be grey).
White jersey combos next...
@NFLonCBS
In my opinion, it's the Bears. The color scheme, the three stripes on the sleeves and socks, innovative numbers and combo lineup all add up to a beautiful product. These are my candidates for best:
-Bears
-Chiefs
-Packers
-Steelers
-49ers
-Raiders
Which uniform made you hate the concept of "manufactured backstories" or, simply, drawn-out explanations or justification for a uniform doesn't that's entirely irrelevant OR should be easy to explain?
Mine ⬇️
It's no secret that
#Bears
fans want an all-white "Polar Bear" combo. I'm not entirely in favor of it, but this is how I'd do the uniform & logo. If not, I still want the orange jerseys/socks but the return of the 1947 throwbacks.

A shit ton of 2020 Redesign Retrospectives - Cleveland Browns:
I initially didn't like their uniforms, given that their 2014 version was mediocre, but, after a disgusting era of unis, they made nearly all of the right choices, resulting in a refresh for the ages.
It's going to take a village to make this

#Seahawks
uniform matchup happen on Thanksgiving. I'm hoping you'll RT this and use your voice to make this happen BECAUSE it can!!
Here's a team that's crazy NOT to bring back a beloved uniform with Super Bowl mojo.
Should they promote the throwbacks to primary, this is the version they gotta use.
Like the Steelers with potential gold helmets, a
#Colts
' blue helmet was erroneously slept on for any and all of their combos, such as the edited
@GridironUniform
graphic below, their throwbacks, and the pointless and ugly "Indiana Nights" combo. Oh, and too much all-white.
@fashion_nfl
Not going to lie, I like it. An interesting use of a historic logo, and I love the blue shell and silver facemask combo. It's very solid, in my opinion 👍🏻👍🏻.
One more thing before I call it tonight. In your honest opinion, do you consider fashion design to be a form of art? Do you consider sports fashion (In this case, NFL uniforms) to be an art form?
@FB_Helmet_Guy
At least we know what it actually looks like. I know we've had a convo about this very topic before. I think the logo's trim should increase to make the helmet design more effective.
If we're keeping the Rams current uniforms until 2025, here's some tweaks I made, though you've seen the white uniform modification already:
-Darker colors (1987 shades)
-No gradient
-No patches or tags
Would be better with the old horns still.
The diamond pattern on our unis is inspired by the original shape of D.C. first delineated in the 1790s. African American land surveyor Benjamin Banneker was instrumental in establishing this boundary, which set the foundation for the four-quadrant national capital.

Gold helmets for the
#Steelers
is such an overlooked idea that would honestly give them so, so much to work with even as the primary and even with changing the primaries or the throwback as such. I seriously want this addition.

@fashion_nfl
A disappointment.
I'm sure this is a hot take, but the Jaguars should have gold as one of their main colors over black, obviously not the same as the 2013 uniforms, but more like the 49ers. I truly think it would improve a mostly dreary AFC South aesthetic.
@FB_Helmet_Guy
I want gold so bad and I really don't understand why nobody wants it because I don't think it should suffer from the sins of the 2013 helmet when it wouldn't be that.
Here are the Browns brown/white and white/orange combos, recolored to feature a deeper brown and brighter orange, plus white and gray facemasks. Hope you like them! I think these would look great for a few games. I'll get the other combos done as well...
The absolute worst and most frightening it could get... the worst potential uniform matchup in NFL history. No "sorrys", "nahs", or denial. It's the truth. The worst uniforms/combos in NFL history.
Happy Halloween... 😈

@GridironUniform
What's your favorite uniform NOT from your favorite team?
Mine: Chiefs, Buccaneers Creamsicles, 1986 Dolphins, and Rams' classics in no particular order.
@fashion_nfl
The Browns represent everything a uniform should be and I'm tired of that not being the general consensus or just because it's the Browns. They're top 10, even top 5 worthy, any single way you slice it.
@fashion_nfl
I really like this for them more than anybody. This is really innovative thinking and I'm genuinely excited to see the designs. I've a feeling that they'll surpass all who try to go with inconsistent designs, I mean their white uniform is already better than the Commanders'.
If we're lucky, the
#Patriots
promote their gray pants to primary with the navy jerseys and few times with the white jerseys as well. It's so much better than double-navy.
Graphic by
@GridironUniform
I want to see the
#Patriots
wear their silver pants for at least three more games, making at least five total appearances and hopefully more. If they do OR they're designated as the primary next season, they'll be risers in my uniform rankings.
@FB_Helmet_Guy
The legacy, fan substance, and importance in uniform development is something so sacred that you just can't force it out successfully. Their current brand is the byproduct of unsuccessfully succeeding it by creating something inauthentic and un-NFL. What were they thinking?
Potential Bears/Chargers uniform matchups for Week 8. Who's excited?
I am 🔥🔥🔥. This could be the best uniform matchup of the year. Gotta give credit to the Bears as well.
@NFLonFOX
An even bigger improvement. The color scheme dazzles, and the curve at the top adds to it. I hope the "Super Bowl" box gets colored in as well.
@NFLonCBS
The Washington Commanders':
-All-white combo
-All-black alternate combo
& the Los Angeles Rams':
-All-bone combo
It's not totally close, either.
The Summer of Throwbacks is likely over now, but let's reminisce. What was your favorite throwback reveal this year?
Mine: Seahawks. The website, the 90's room, the green transparent N64 (I have one myself), it's such a wonderfully creative reveal. One of the best in the league.
@fashion_nfl
True, they would all improve with pants stripes. You know what else would improve them? Sock stripes or colored socks. It's way too overwhelming for me to see a color head to toe with half the uniform being empty. I'm just done with all-whites. It's a terrible standard.
