My big fear is when Klopp finally leaves Liverpool, despite his brilliance we’re still on 19 & 6, bemoaning the fact we had one of the great managers & such a talented XI, but never gave him the squad to establish a dynasty. He’s worked miracles with one hand tied behind his back

Liverpool had a team in 19/20 that outran and outfought everyone, that from the front pressed defences within an inch of their lives. That was the foundation of the attacking and defensive structure. Why was that abandoned? This side now don't run, don't fight, don't press.

An injury crisis that has to be one of the worst in Premier League history. 16 different CB pairings. Most fans including myself just wanted the season to end. But Jurgen Klopp’s resilient, gutsy, brilliant Liverpool refused to quit & have finished third. Unbelievable effort!

I thought it was a real shame when Ashley Barnes scored for Burnley against Liverpool and celebrated by trying to wind up the Kop but the goal was disallowed because he was a mile offside and he started shouting because he was upset and then he looked like an absolute whopper

The best Liverpool team I’ve seen by a mile needed a last gasp equaliser to salvage a draw at Old Trafford in 2019/20. Can’t fathom how anyone ever thinks going there and winning is easy for Liverpool, regardless of Utd’s level at the time. It always requires a great performance.

The basic problem with Liverpool’s eight midfield options are five of them are injury prone, one is a veteran & two are kids. The one at his peak & always available we let go for free. So while it looks strong on paper, how often will we see three of Fab, Thiago, Hendo & Keita?

Spot on. Pretending Virgil Van Dijk isn’t the best centre half the Prem has seen is just petty tribalism now he’s struggling. No one reached his level at his peak. Yes it was cut short by Pickford, but from 17-20 he showed all the qualities of Vidic, Ferdinand & Terry combined.

VVD is far better than Vidic, who was a top CB, but have you forgot his performances against Torres? Rio & JT had poor seasons in their career like all players, VVD is having one now. No CB in the PL era has ever had VVD’s impact on a team.
