Footballers offering financial support to the NHS is very noble and I am glad the Liverpool captain is involved. But the health service is not a charity. It should be properly funded by government and taxes. Instead, footballers are bailing it out. The Tories should be ashamed.

Liverpool played Real Madrid tonight - It was a great game, there were zero issues with safety, and both sets of fans did their best to support their teams. The lesson? Keep UEFA and the French authorities away from organisational roles in football matches. They're the issue.
