I always thought this to be impossible. Storytime. 1. When I was 12 I almost drowned while on a family holiday at Waenhuiskrans, and I was rescued by a young student. Cue about 20 years and 2 kids in, my husband and I are talking about his near death experience and I share mine.

When he was in an induced coma, after a heart attack and also a moment of clinical death, years later, I refused to allow for his life support to be switched off. His cardiologist worked out something which was never used in SA before. And he survived for another 18 years.
