we have all failed you. We should have done much more years ago to stop this happening. We are all guilty.
An exceptional tribute See thread Refعat’s haunting poem translated into just about every language, from Urdu, Marathi, Filipino, Pashtu, Swahili, Somali, to Italian, Dutch, Galician, Albanian, Spanish, German and many more. And of course his native Arabic. But no Hebrew. Yet.
Came across Dr. Refaat Alareer's poem "If I must die" just a few days ago, I cried and couldn't help but translated it to Chinese without his permission. Now that he's gone.
The trains from Birmingham are absolutely packed (buses laid on to go to London demo already full). At every stop there are loads of people with Palestinian flags and Tshirts trying to get on the train. No room 🙈

I am an academic and I call for a free Palestine and an end to the Israeli state's apartheid. This is integral to both my moral world view and my scholarship. Pass it on.
This beautiful volume just arrived on my doorstep. Have been publicising it for a while but had no idea it was dedicated to me. Humbled and overwhelmed. Thank you

We can’t breathe: These are not clouds.
Israel is literally gassing Palestinians. These are heavy clouds of gunpowder and possibly white phosphorus.
Unbearable.

"I do feel that the students are highly critical of Israeli politics, and I do not believe that is inherently antisemitic at all. And I do not feel threatened as a Jewish faculty member in any way by whats happening on campus"
Professor Susan Bernofsky from Columbia university
All those who are now silent, worried about their positions, grants, or potential 'tension' with colleagues who hide behind 'neutrality'. Think: will you ever recover from the stain of silence over a genocide in which all our institutions and governments are complicit?
"We the Palestinians will recover. We will stand up again from the midst of destruction, as we have always done as Palestinians...But for those who are complicit I feel sorry for you. Will you ever recover from this?"

Amidst widespread disinformation designed to demonize Palestinians, we're working around the clock w/ journalists who need interpretation and/or translation support in their coverage.

reminiscing about the first time we met! How he quickly grew from that young man who didn’t know how to use a knife and fork to a political and intellectual force to be reckoned with is a marvel. RIP 💔
A released Palestinian prisoner says in Arabic that Israel held them in the cold w/o electricity, "sprayed us w/ pepper spray" & "left us to die."
She never mentioned Hamas or a word like it. Yet

translated to: "No one helped us. Only Hamas cared...We love them very much."

Thank you for reviving this ‘discussion’. I hope everyone who called for ‘boycotting’ me and the journal because they disagree with boycotting a genocidal state are now proud of their complicity in genocide. The racism and dehumanization of Palestinians cannot be more obvious!
