In west Baltimore today some bad-ass woman who had been carjacked tracked down her own vehicle, followed it around town, got police and the police helicopter to work with her, and recovered her vehicle. It sounded like police apprehended two of the guys occupying the vehicle.

This evening police found *eleven* ATMs behind a vacant house in southwest Baltimore. This happens to be a few blocks away from where police recovered two vans with ATMs inside them on separate occasions. It's also near where police found an ATM abandoned in a bailout crash.

The 1700 block of Oliver Street has houses with marble doorways constructed the likes of which I haven't seen anywhere else in the city. Each one has a different design etched into the marble. Gearie said he grew up nearby and he remembered when they used to be white.

Day 431: I worked out of my office in Washington for the first time in 431 days. It was a surreal experience. The morning train was mostly empty. Some of the area restaurants had shut down due to economic pressures. The food trucks were gone. But the National Guard was gone too.
