Yesterday, Nigerian police agreed to pay N200k towards the treatment of a peaceful protester who was brutalized by their men. The money was given on the spot. In my life, I’ve never seen anything like that happen in Nigeria. This generation, are you aware of your power? #EndSARS

One evening I came back from a trip late at night and my dad was sitting outside in the compound. I asked him why and he laughed saying he was waiting for me. We said our good nights and it was the last time I saw him alive. He passed the next day. Thank you for waiting Aare ❤️

A little kindness goes a long way. I was eating in a resturant when a strange man walked up to me. He looked so excited to see me but I had never seen this guy in my life so I was confused then he brought out something that looked very familiar. My heart immediately leaped.

I’m so emotional. EVERY lawyer I have randomly called from our volunteer list since yesterday has left what they were doing & headed to the police station immediately. No one has said “no” or “later”. One had even just picked up her baby from daycare. Nigerians are amazing

One thing I haven’t really shared is that police in Nigeria are generally VERY hostile to lawyers. So when a lawyer goes to a police station to bail out an arrested protester, there’s so much that happens in there we do not post about so as not to shift the focus. It is hard work
