Thrilled to share I'm partnering with
@homebaseprogram
for their Run to Home Base event this July.
I'm running for my dad, Col. Martin Ottolini, who served in Balad, Iraq in 2008. I'm running for my sister, Maj. Katherine Ottolini...
My best friend was hospitalized with COVID-19 last week. She's 31 and one of the healthiest people I know. No underlying conditions. Her lung partially collapsed. She was on oxygen. Those lungs ran college track and 2 marathons. This virus does not discriminate. She's still sick.
Hi Gerry. “This person” - me - is a reporter at your former employer. I was covering a rally with several hundred people in downtown Boston, where masks in public are an ordinance. My mom is currently hospitalized with COVID so I take this seriously. Thanks for the retweet!
The football team at UVA has three funerals to attend in three different states this weekend to honor their teammates. This is a really special move by the
@Patriots
and the Kraft family.
Here in Waltham at the wake for Jerry Remy, where the public is invited to pay respects to the late Red Sox Hall of Famer and broadcaster. There are some beautiful tributes to him inside the Brasco & Sons funeral home. They’re handing out these cards for attendees:
Interviewer: Thanks for meeting with us Bill. Can you give an example of a time when it looked like you were totally out of a game, only to rally back and win?
Today was my last day reporting for the Boston Herald. Five of the wildest, most formative years of my career. It’s been an honor to share your stories and work with talented journalists who have become trusted friends. I’ll always be a newspaper person at heart.
We said goodbye to the sweetest dog I’ve ever had today. Rockne was a cuddle bug who loved Italian cookies, hopping fences, and opening doors by himself. We got 13 wonderful years with him, but I wish we had 13 more.
Patriots are absolutely blasting Nirvana at practice on the field at Gillette. Getting players’ ears ready for Buffalo’s hostile atmosphere with some Cobain!
Jayson Tatum is a 3x all-star at 23. When I was 23 I ordered a backup pizza for my breakfast because I thought my original pizza order didn’t go through. Two different pizzerias delivered them both to me at once and I ate slices from each so no pizza would feel left out.
“I also want to thank the New England patriots” Gronk says, noting they taught him the important of giving back.
“A huge shoutout to Mr. Kraft and the Patriots.”
It’s wild to me that I post a photo of American flags and mention service and I get hateful DMs about it. Our country is awfully flawed but I’m proud of my family’s service and that they actively try to make this a better home for everyone. Get a life.
Gotta highlight this during a very busy week:
Patriots tackle Lawrence Guy and his wife hosted a baby shower for 20 moms in need two weeks ago. Monday, he provided groceries to 150 families for Thanksgiving dinners. Today, he’s donating 400 meals to a local school.
Good Guy.
I miss:
duck boat parades
fans in the stands
the smell of grills outside Gillette
drunk Bruins fans on Causeway street
the dance cam at Celtics games
Opening Day at Fenway
seeing Marathon jackets in April
Please bring them back to us, 2021 💚
I’ve never shared it publicly, but I’ve been treated for clinical depression for 16 years. Asking for help is the hardest step. Nothing is braver than reaching out. Remember, sometimes depression looks like the goofy kid on your team who eats candy for breakfast:

Bragging moment:
My big sister has been stationed in Japan with the Air Force for 3 years, flying very sick babies to different hospitals.
She just got awarded Air Force Pediatrician of the Year! (For the West Chapter whatever that is) 🥳
Shout out to talented Herald photographer
@nancylanephotos
who captured just how nasty and wet that football was tonight! How this woman does it, I don't know.
You guys can trash
@WEEI
all ya want but they’re the only sports radio station in Boston making a concerted effort to get more women’s voices on sports talk radio here
- the only female voice on sports talk radio in Boston right now
Just went to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store for my phone which wouldn’t charge, and the guy helping me playfully asked why I didn’t bring the dog in my background photo. I told him my dog just died. Now they’re giving me a new phone.
Very confused how COVID-19 is raging in Arizona, Texas, and California. Thought sunlight and heat would kill the virus? It’s almost like - bear with me here - that idea was horse shit?
My brother and I at Beacon Hill Pub in 2015. He was visiting from DC and dating a girl from Dorchester. She got in a fight with some guys hogging the Pop-a-Shot 🏀 machine and everyone started yelling, “what parish are you from” at one another. It was outstanding.
Danny Ainge’s Wellesleyhouse is on the market and he has 2/3 of the 2008 Big 3’s jerseys framed on the wall of his game room in photos from the listing. Not featured: Ray Allen
Just two Maryland kids tryin to make it in New England! Can’t wait to share this 1-on-1 I had with Bill Belichick on the 2021 Draft for
@PATRIOTSdotCOM
. I’ll be cohosting a rad Draft party with my pal
@FitzyGFY
next Thursday night at
@PatriotPlace
- stay tuned!
