Dead silence in the cinema as the credits rolled for the screening of Claire Denis’ Stars at Noon. First time I’ve heard zero applause this #Cannes . Maybe we’re all tired? Or perhaps nobody liked it? I know I’m not a fan. Was such a dull sluggish watch for a fugitive story.
