I’ve spent my whole life being told I’m too loud & too opinionated so I’ve consciously tried to keep quiet and not rock the boat when I’m in public but it’s got me nowhere. So I say to any loud, opinionated young women out there, if anyone tells you to keep quiet, shout louder
My son Isaac; diagnosed autistic at 21 months. Told he would never talk properly, then he’d never cope in mainstream then never get GCSEs, certainly not anything higher. But he proved them wrong and here he is holding his 2:1 degree certificate in accountancy and finance👏🏼
I have just come to understand that
#SuellaBraverman
didn’t just use her personal email to ‘mistakenly’ send a confidential but meaningless document.The reason this was discovered was because she sent it to the WRONG PERSON but there’s more.. 1/3🧵
When my son was tiny I caught him with chocolate all over his face & asked him if he had been in the biscuit tin. He flat out denied it even when I showed him his face in the mirror. He thought he could get away with it just by repeated denial. He was 3.The PM is 57
#NotAboutCake
Name one profession other than the NHS that charges its employees to park in the car park at work. Bloody ridiculous. Get rid of that alone and it would equate to a pay rise of around 3-5% for an average nurse
Sunak has made Tory donor Stephen Massey temp chairman of party after sacking Zahawi over tax dodging scandal. Massey works for a firm that helps rich avoid taxes & in 2007 was himself found by HMRC to have tried to avoid tax on £5m he got in bonuses.
You couldn’t make it up
She then lied about when it was sent when questioned by PM so was forced to resign (receiving the usual ex-cabinet payoff) but now it’s apparently fine to reinstate her despite her showing not only insane incompetence but a national security risk. People need to know this! 3/3
If you are absent 3 times or more within a 6 month period as a teacher you face a review meeting and your competence to teach is assessed. How come MP’s on twice the salary can show up to work as and when they feel like it?
Nadine Dorries is still earning a huge salary as an MP but has not sat in Parliament for a year.
@CliveBull
asks: How can we make sure MP's work for their constituents?
Sajid Javid is an idiot. Double MP’s salaries to get a ‘better quality’ of talent?!? Okay, so let’s apply that same logic to teachers, nurses and doctors shall we?
The intended recipient was WIFE of extreme rightwing anti EU backbencher John Hayes (apparently Braverman does nothing without his say so) who had no business being involved anyway. Instead it went to an assistant to Andrew Percy MP for Brigg & Goole who reported the breach 2/3
Front cover of tomorrow’s Daily Mail “We are the first major nation to leave the pandemic behind as PM says curbs to end this month”… Surely even Mail readers aren’t stupid enough to believe that just stating you are going to ignore something doesn’t mean it no longer exists?!?
Is it weird at the age of 57 to be happy in your own company to the extent that you haven’t the will to expend the effort and energy required to accommodate a relationship?
Honestly people are over dramatising ULEZ.
London reg taxis, disabled badge holders,transport carrying disabled people, electric cars, hybrid cars, petrol cars/vans under 18yrs old & diesel cars/vans <8 yrs old don’t have to pay a bloody thing. Over 90% of vehicles are unaffected
The guy who lounged at Chequers for weeks on end after he was sacked,sorry ‘resigned’, told us all he nearly died (when he didn’t),said there were no parties(when there were),lied to the queen & is now sunning himself in the Caribbean when he’s paid to work…you want him back?🤦🏻♀️
Big day for me today.
My son his wife & son are currently on a flight to England from China. They are coming to stay for most of August. It will be the 1st time I’ve seen them since before covid and the 1st time meeting my 2 1/2 yr old grandson Christopher in person🤗😆💛
Bloody hell switched the tv on for 5 mins to hear news & 1st thing I hear is Richard bloody Madeley telling Yvette Cooper that opposing Rwanda will alienate Labour voters 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ The man is a class A idiot.
#richardmadeley
Michael Gove got slightly jostled & jeered because instead of taking a ministerial car he CHOSE to walk right into the middle of a pro-Palestinian March for peace condemned by the government he is a part of yet that is what the Daily Mail focus on?
Doesn’t scream set up at all🤦🏻♀️
I have been on Twitter for ages but, as my Twitter name implies, I don’t have many followers and would love to connect with like-minded individuals who despise the Tory govt, are passionate about education or just love animals so please give me a follow

It’s my birthday!🥳🎉🍹
57 years old, how did that happen?😲I’m feeling every one of them on the outside, yet still 21 on in the inside🤷🏻♀️🎂

Bloody hell I’ve opened a hornets nest over whether NHS staff should have to pay for parking. Yes public transport is greener & I concede other people pay outside of the NHS but until public transport is better, charging £1000 pa to park in workplace carpark can’t be right
Oh my goodness I didn’t expect my tweet to blow up like this. I am overwhelmed by the amount of love and support being shown to myself and my lovely boy. Thank you so much! You will never know how much this means to Isaac to be seen and heard ❤️🥰
This is my mp Mark Menzies who along with the majority of
@Conservatives
voted to allow water companies to continue to discharge raw sewage into our rivers and seas. They should all be ashamed of themselves😡

on for 10 minutes while getting ready for work and Richard Madeley’s constant reference to “Boris” (6 times now and counting) in every discussion from football to Jackie Weaver, as if he’s a mate from down the pub, is really grating on me
The fact that some NHS nurses aren’t only LOSING pay this month due to a tiny pay rise that’s put them into a higher pension contrib. rate but now OWE money due to it being backdated to April while mp’s get 2.5k increase & are off work yet again sums up all that’s wrong in the UK
Michael Gove says the reason they’ve not built more social housing is because when they tried to pass an act enabling this Labour blocked it. Even if this is factual, of which I’m doubtful, I thought the Tories had a 57 MP majority so how can this be an excuse?
#BBCLauraK
@DrShanHussain

She’s implying that you can tell if someone is British solely by the colour of their skin. If that’s not racist I don’t know what is! Disgusting comment
My small town centre has opened a private gp surgery in what used to be a bank. (Local branches all closing down) They offer same day consultation and a ‘pay as you go’ service. This is their price list. Is this the future?😳

@linmeitalks
A full time teacher with 20+ years experience on the absolute top of the upper scale takes home around £2400 a month after deductions. They too have partners, children and mortgages. Tell me again that a take home pay of £5457 isn’t rich?
Am I missing something here? Surely if the British Supreme Court have declared the Rwanda scheme illegal then leaving the ECHR would have no impact on the govt’s attempt to do this but would simply weaken human rights for all of us Brits🤷🏻♀️
Not a single Tory voted in favour of a windfall tax, not one. That is very suspicious. There is no logical reason to be so adamantly against it. Who exactly is paying them to block it? If I were a journalist I would be trying to find out
#WindfallTax
I’ve just seen
#AmandaHolden
trending & wondered why. I discovered it’s because she said live on radio that Paul O’Grady ‘didn’t have a woke bone in his body’
I honestly think a lot of people have confused the word woke with something else entirely.
Either that or she’s an idiot
Twitter is the only social media on which I regularly interact with like minded people. Living on my own with my autistic son it is literally my lifeline. If it goes it will devastate me😢
The announcement that heads will be able to stop an Ofsted inspection if staff are distressed seems like backwards thinking to me. Surely they should be redesigning inspections so they don’t cause distress in the 1st place?!

So the latest theory is Johnson found out that Truss’ phone had been hacked by the Russians, covered it up then conspired to help her win PM role because he knew she’d fail & he could come back and save the day. No wonder no one can tell parody from serious politics any more🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
In all my 58 years, some 50+ of which have been spent in schools, I have never yet seen a large photo of the reigning monarch on permanent display, so why now?
#wasteofmoney
Solar panels covering just 1.2% of the Sahara Desert would generate enough energy to power the entire planet. Fossil fuels exploitation is about greed.
Yesterday on itv news. ‘The country has slipped into recession… but here’s some good news, British Gas profits have increased again’
Good news?!? Good bloody news, are you kidding me? What’s good about ripping people off charging stupid prices to make a profit?
#BritishGas
Andrea Jenkyns has no room to slate teachers when she is too thick to know the difference between the EU & the ECHR.
This letter claims millions of UK citizens voted to leave the European Convention of Human Rights. This is not true. Millions voted to leave the EU, not the ECHR
Just a quick update to all my lovely Twitter friends. I’m ok but it’s been a hard week after losing my dad. My amazing SiL & I have moved heaven & earth to arrange funeral for tomorrow. We’re all, especially my poor mum, missing him terribly. She’s lost without him after 60 years
At work today I said the slowness of the school internet was driving me ‘doolally tap’ & a colleague said “I’ve never heard anyone use that phrase apart from you”
We’ve used it as long as I can remember in my family to mean going stir crazy but wonder now if we just made it up?
Thinking of traditional sayings I’ve just remembered another of my Scottish mammie’s sayings…
“Ne’er cast a clout ‘til May is out”
Not got a clue🤷🏻♀️ Anyone?
Ah jeez after the callous painting over of children’s murals, this made me weep again for the complete lack of humanity shown by the Tory govt.
So, George Osborne, austerity was essential? Tell that to the children still suffering its terrible effects
If the British media spent as much time discussing the corruption and petty goings on in the government as they do on that in the Royal Family the public might be better informed on what really matters and affects their everyday lives.
After a tough week having to attend not 1 but 2 interviews with my autistic son at the job centre and apply for a bunch of unsuitable jobs just to ensure he continues to get his £257 a month UC, yesterday he finally got offered a job interview in his chosen field🤞🤞🤞
Obviously I don’t have a source at the HoC as I’m just an ordinary member of the electorate and I can’t verify this for definite. I’m just reporting what I’ve read and researched online but you have to admit it does sound more than plausible
Was reminiscing my first car which was a beautiful mini with a walnut dash. Who remembers cold days when you needed to pull out the choke to start the engine but not too much or it would flood & you’d have to wait 5 minutes & try again? It’s a wonder we ever got anywhere on time.
Tory world where on one hand apparently £600 a week to spend after bills isn’t much nor is £100k a year but pensioners should be grateful for £11502 pa, UC for single ‘scrounger’ is less than £400 a month & teachers, nurses & doctors etc on less than half 100k are being greedy🤷🏻♀️
Bloody hell just found out BJ & Carrie are expecting another mini me. As others have pointed out, the Tories are fond of saying you shouldn’t have kids if you can’t afford it.
They should tell Johnson you shouldn’t have more kids if you can’t pay for your own legal bills…
The Queen has tested positive for Covid - Just as well we are ‘the first major country to leave the pandemic behind’ then Mr Johnson

From the woman who spent £500000 of our money on a private jet to Australia and god knows how much on a personal photographer for her 7 Instagram posts a day
Well the ‘MP’s code of conduct’ is clearly not worth the loo roll it’s written on then. What a load of shite. In what other job could anyone not show up for over a year while working 2 other jobs but that’s just fine and doesn’t break any rules?
So GP looks at my knee and says ‘I can see already there’s a significant problem and I’m going to need to refer you. Have you got private health insurance? No, oh that’s a pity, I recommend you get some because it will be a very long wait otherwise’

Boris Johnson on the tv saying Putin threatened to murder him with a midsole strike before he invaded Ukraine.
Call me sceptical but much as I despise Putin I think this is another claim along the lines of “I nearly died of Covid”
Anything for attention fgs

‘Why is food so expensive?’ Is an upsetting watch. It’s really frightening how many people are struggling to feed their families. Prices just keep increasing & all we hear from the govt is that they need to cut services & EVERYONE is going to pay more tax
Turns out he was referring to an attempt to allow housing developers to build without having to abide by pollution laws & allowing them to flood our rivers and seas with yet more pollutants. That is not quite ‘blocking an attempt to build more social housing’
Talk about spin🤦🏻♀️
Sunak says his plan is working?!? It might be working for him & his wife but it’s not bloody working for me or anyone else not a multimillionaire - ordinary folk just keep getting poorer & now we are in a recession - if thats your plan working then it’s a shit plan
#Rishession
@cherryblossfeet
My mum said to me this morning that the reason there’s so many job vacancies is that young people don’t want to work any more they’d rather just claim benefits🤦🏻♀️ This is not because she’s intrinsically a horrible person but she gets the Daily Mail & Express ‘for the crosswords’
Most women under 30 today have been raised to do nothing in the house.
They are unable to cook, clean or properly care for a man.
They are unable to do laundry without shrinking the clothes.
They don’t understand you’re supposed to wake up before the man does so you can…
I remember being a newly qualified teacher pre-Ofsted & being told an HMI was coming to check on me. He spent an hour in my class, asked if I was coping with the workload & commented how well organised the classroom was & the children seemed happy. That’s it. How times change.

is so damning Johnson will have no choice but to resign. If it’s that damning how the hell has it been allowed to remain unpublished for months on end?

Good Morning lovely people & happy Sunday😊🌼
It’s finally actually my birthday today but being 58 years on the planet is no reason not to be woken up at 6:30am by hungry cats as usual. Looking forward to eating my cake & a meal out with family tonight.
Have a beautiful day💛🌿
I know size doesn’t matter but having lost c3st since summer my clothes are all drowning me so picked up a cheap pair of size 12 jeans in Asda thinking I don’t think they’ll fit yet but they will soon. Was thrilled this morning that they fit so easily I prob could have got a 10🥳
When the United Nations Commissioner for Human Rights has to protest UK law due to concerns about human rights violations you know there is something seriously wrong with this government.

Can I point out that I’m not tweeting in self interest, I do not work for the NHS and I don’t pay to park at work but I think it’s wrong to charge them to park in a hospital car park. I would extend this to university staff and council staff too.
Bin men (or I should probably say refuse collectors) are out already, thank god I put mine out last night. They really earn their money don’t they? Another profession we couldn’t manage without that’s woefully under appreciated and taken for granted.
Just had to block a lovely guy who reckons reason I believe climate change exists & high temps & tinder dry forests are more likely than coordinated arson for all the wildfires is because “primary teachers are the worst having been indoctrinated at Marxist training camps” Twat
Yesterday was an incredible day! Following one tweet, I gained over 4000 new followers. Thanks to all of you and I’m grateful but Twitter have deemed this against the rules and limited my account so I can’t follow anyone back for 3 days. Please unfollow me if that’s a problem
Richard Madeley apparently spoke to 2 sets of parents yesterday who didn’t know if their children’s school was open or not today and together with Andrew Pierce spent 5 minutes slagging off teachers because of it. I call b*llsh*t😖
I’m sad some people found it necessary to criticise a tweet about 1 of the beautiful poems written by my pupils yesterday but I guess it goes with the job. Apparently I’m a bad teacher for being anti-Tory (I don’t tell the children that) & I shouldn’t mention climate change. 1/4
‘Shop prices have RISEN at their lowest amount for 2 years this month’ says the headlines as if this was some amazing achievement. They are still bloody rising, it’s not like wages go up every month is it?
@markjamestattoo
@davidselfridge1
Go George! Don’t give up hope as Isaac only spoke in echoes for a long time but as with everything else he got there in the end ( it’s always two steps forward one step back ) Tell George he too is amazing as are you!
@thellen72
I can’t get over all these people of my generation (late 50’s/60’s) claiming how tough we had it. Kids today have more to deal with than we ever did, get over yourselves
So now it’s Angela Rayners fault that Boris Johnson is terrible at the dispatch box for being a woman with legs.
‘She knows she can’t compete with Boris’s Oxford Union debating training, but she has other skills which he lacks’
A new low in misogynism
I didn’t buy flowers and place them against a royal building but I bought 2 bunches of roses 💐🌹
One for my 84 year old mum and the other for her 86 year old sister (my aunt) who lives next door to mum. Rightly or wrongly I thought the still living would appreciate them more
I’m so happy for people who have strong committed lasting relationships but seriously find it difficult to make people understand that I really enjoy being single in my 50’s & am not lonely & sad but relish the freedom & have absolutely no need or wish for a man in my life🤷🏻♀️
I’m so sorry to all those people tweeting me and telling me I’m rude for not following back. I would love to follow you all and I will when I can but I only had 150 followers this morning, have followed 400 back and Twitter won’t let me follow any more today☹️
Thank you for all your responses. The whole reason I tweeted this was to open up debate and I appreciate your opinions. I honestly was not aware of people booking several restaurants and choosing which one to go to at the last minute, which is totally unfair to the restaurants
Cake I made for my mum’s birthday which is on Thursday but today was the only time I had to make it. Coffee and walnut but with pecans instead of walnuts. I hope it tastes okay🤞🥮
Is anyone really surprised that Johnson is having a party at Chequers this weekend instead of attending emergency Cobra meeting to discuss how mitigate pressure on NHS during extreme weather crisis?
He’s simply ending his time as PM in exactly the same way as he started it.
