My daughter K has asthma & had a sudden crisis last night (1st time in years). Called 811, spoke to an assistant, who got a nurse immediately, who advised IWK ER that we were on the way. Treated and home w/in 3 hrs. The whole system worked like it's supposed to!

In Nova Scotia, post-secondary students pay over 35% more in tuition than elsewhere in Canada...and this isn't counting exorbitant, unregulated international student fees. Student Assistance rates from the provincial government need to keep up with these figures. #NSPoli
