The sped-up version is definitely ideal for me. It maintains the pacing I want and expect from rapidly hitting object-chains in a dense, city environment like this. If something can be done to bring it more in line with that, that alone would be huge for general feel.

Honestly? Forward movement looks fine. You can see visibly that they put some work into it. The effort makes sense. This is the player's only real way to engage with nav, and in object-dense playspace they'll be doing it very often. Moving forward has to at least feel good.

Distrust Areas [Orange] in #AssassinsCreedValhalla are really cool, what a blast from the past. Unlike Restricted Areas [Red] in which line-of-sight leads to immediate hostility, Distrust Areas can be moved through if you have your cloak and hood on. Very AC1.

I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing that #AssassinsCreed Mirage has a similar parkour system to the RPG games. The system doesn’t have the depth of other games but Baghdad might make a difference. The city is denser, more urban and the buildings have more parkour elements.

It doesn't push the universe forward, and it doesn't damage it either. It's one of the faster, smoother stealth games in the entire franchise, and its focused scale means it's the perfect game to pierce into and devour if you've three or four days free to do some gaming.

It's funny. Both Unity and Mirage have an ability some players avoid for 'immersion,' represented through Animus-layer (Disguise, Focus). Really makes apparent which players see AC as its full picture and which lean on historical-only. Mirage's is more badass and useful, though.

Stealth kills animate fast. Good. Good world-design. Vision cones displayed during EV. Marksmen layer in target-prioritization (horns will do the same) and make heavily-guarded space feel right by denying comfort derived from scouting. Counter-kills. Tools use AMMO, not mana.

I'd like to soon discuss why Mirage is so good and truly shines on Hard. Hard makes every part of it synthesize into what feels like its intended vision, embeds a player into the world more and pushes touching every system more consciously. Makes stealth's power feel better too.
