I've got people throwing shade because I believe actors at any stage of their career should be paid respectfully and correctly 😂. Just because you're 'new' or 'emerging' doesn't mean you should work for peanuts. You just set a precendent that you'll do anything for nothing.

Actors - agents shouldn't be 'testing' you with a 24 hour self tape for them before you're even signed. It's not 'preparing you for the industry', Equity have just released the Self Tape Guidelines trying to stop these unethical turnovers so agents shouldn't be upholding them

After around 80-100 self tapes (I stopped counting before my taping hiatus) I have booked a job off a tape! Where my cat meowed at my feet and my reader was on zoom (Alex dit read in whilst he was at work) There is no magic formula apart from take your time and keep going

Another narrative I am fed up with is when actors express themselves then getting told they are being dramatic, doing it for the cameras or out and out lying because they are a good/bad actor Actors are people first and have feelings like anyone else. Listen to them too.

Tonight I did a gig in my hometown, my mum, best friend of 30 years who has never seen me do stand up and Alex surprised me, me Ma gave me flowers like it was opening night, I wore a glitter suit, was on the most supportive line up and got two applause breaks. This is happiness.

We had a lot of issues throughout my time there. Now she asks me to come back and do talks on how to succeed against adversity 😑😑

Last night I went back to my heels class while 22 weeks pregnant She's our miracle so I am trying to not let fear hold me back in experiencing as much life as I can while carrying her This time last year I lost her third sibling, we will live life to the fullest for all of them
