Made it back home yesterday after one of the best events I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of. Came in with the goal of qualifying with Aaron (which basically happened lol), and I managed to take 2nd for the world tour! I can’t wait to keep competing some more.

Since a lot of people have been picking up on Nier’s 50/50 routes, I’m gonna post them here for reference. Nier’s grounded route of 22l > 214l > 623l > 236m had the issue of not working while death was summoned so I came up with this route midscreen to solve that problem (1/8).

When 214x is on cooldown after 22c, you can follow up with micro dash jab > raging strike to combo into sweep for the full 2c > 236b routing. 2b / f(遠).c > raging strike > 2u works on crouchers (しゃがみ) if you are not going for the 66l extension. #GBVSR_ZO

I’ve also had tons of help this time around. My family supported me through these events making everything possible. From friends, I got free rides, a room to stay in, an adapter, two cords, and someone had even lent us a playstation so we could grind the night before world tour.

In the corner, Nier’s 50/50 setup is a crouch confirm. On standing opponents, you will start the combo with 214h and on crouching opponents, you will start with 214l (after a3). You must hit the c.h low or they will pop out of the corner (2/8).

This is kind of random, but for some reason buffering raging strike on the low will give Nier more frame advantage after hitting Seox’s forward parry. I don’t know how practical this is, but seems somewhat useful because Seox can punish the OH with this option

Just because it should be considered burst damage doesn’t automatically imply that it can’t fit the description of normal and charged attacks. Childe’s e scales off his skill but they still act as active normal and charged attacks

Just as a side note, at 2m distance you can use this routing and frame kill with 66l for a pretty reliable meaty jab. The true safe jab timing is pretty difficult but this should be safe to Ex dp’s for the most part.
