@PrezLives2022 Once having made an appearance in court on behalf of a client, the lawyer cannot withdraw or be fired without leave (meaning permission) from the court. Normally, the judge will not allow withdrawal without a compelling reason if it would delay the trial.

@harrylitman Chutkan is smart and experienced. Cannon's lack of experience prevents her from effectively managing the documents case even if she were not biased for Trump. Allowing Cannon to try that case is like letting someone who just received a learners permit drive the school bus.

@lawofruby If Trump has something say about issues in the case, the jury should hear it from the witness stand under oath, and the jury should hear him cross-examined. No more testifying outside of court and not subject to cross-examination.

@AWeissmann_ I've written many confidentiality agreements. They *always* have an exception for when disclosure is required by subpoena. Weisselberg's agreement is void as against public policy. If kept from the jury, this outright criminality will succeed.

@PrezLives2022 Beats me. When I clerked for a federal judge, lawyers had to file a motion to withdraw as counsel, and that motion would sometimes be denied. Once a lawyer makes an appearance on behalf of a client, they can withdraw only with leave of court.
