Six England call ups from bottom of the table Bath. How do you interpret that? Form is temporary, class is permanent? The coaches have failed the players at Bath? Eddie Jones has his favourites? Premiership form doesn't matter to Jones?

This @BristolBears side have no idea when they are beaten. When you have players with a touch of magic and adventure in your DNA as a rugby club you can score from anywhere on the pitch and do anything. The most exciting thing is there is still so much improvement to come.

Bath attacked brilliantly for 40 minutes then decided to stop. Their obsessive, blinded, narrow mindedness to only score from a 5m line out is teetering on the idiotic now. And they failed to score a single point during Sale’s three sin binnings. It’s a mess at The Rec

Pat Lam got his tactics wrong tonight for me, kicking the ball away on the halfway line [England-esque] sucked all the energy out of the packed stadium. Rob Baxter said post match his side 'kept the crowd quiet', I would argue Bristol did much of the work themselves.

My other issue, is when you watch or play lower level amateur rugby a lot of players, particularly when they get a bit older. adopt an upper body drag down technique to avoid big collisions and save their bodies. That will now be illegal.

I am very interested to see what happens with Farrell, it was probably a yellow card offence at worst. Both men were fairly low, the key thing for Gloucester is it was worthy of at least a yellow card so he shouldn't have been on the pitch to land the drop goal.
