Wall cloud earlier in Wichita Falls, TX. This was at 5:09pm and on Fisher road south of 287. This storm exhibited a brief funnel with very fast motion.

On this day in 1979, a mile-wide tornado carved a 47-mile path through Texas and Oklahoma. This tornado would go on to kill 42 people and injure 1,740 others as it slammed into Wichita Falls, TX, it was part of a larger tornado outbreak, locally known as "Terrible Tuesday"

This may be a hot take, but I honestly hate the narrative that “these weather events WILL downtrend or disappear” based off of past experiences. I see so many people nowadays saying that such and such event WILL downtrend with no explanation other than it has happened before.
