THREAD ON JEWISH HOCKEY PLAYERS DEALING WITH THE CURRENT WAR & WHAT TO DO
Many Jewish hockey players (and athletes), some of them teenagers, are working on achieving their goals far away from family & community.
Some of them may be confused, hearing antisemitic propaganda.
This photo by Israel’s u20 national team taken after clinching the gold medal in their competition and winning promotion to Division 2B is absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Loving the trend of Jewish hockey players celebrating their identity.
Jeremy Swayman & Jordan Harris opening up about their Judaism. Zach Hyman standing strong for the only Jewish state and being a great representative of Jewry.
Jewish hockey players, be proud! עם ישראל חי!
The Carolina Hurricanes held a beautiful Chanukah with the Canes event/hockey game that included the most beautiful hockey stick Menorah I’ve ever seen 👏

Don’t forget South Africa leading a charge that nearly banned the Israeli under-20 ice hockey team from their tournament.
Israel ended up winning every game they play & moving up a division, while South Africa’s u20 team, playing at the same time, lost every game they played.
GREAT NEWS! IIHF rescinds the ban on Israel’s national team!
“We wish the Israeli National Team and all other participating teams all the best for the competition.”
“As a Jew who grew up playing hockey and was generally the only Jewish player despite growing up in Brooklyn, it brings great joy to not only see so many Jewish players in the NHL, but knowing they are some of the best players.”
Lost in tonight’s excitement was Artemi Panarin becoming the first Jewish hockey player in NHL history to record 100 points.
And then he got two more assists. What a night for Jewish hockey players!
עם ישראל חי!!
The 15 inductees to the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame includes Mike Cammalleri and Ellen Weinberg-Hughes.
They will be honoured in July 2025.
Loving this pic of Team Israel 🇮🇱 and Team United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪 taken after playing each other for the first time (UAE won 10-6).
May there be peace between all nations 🕊️
After the YU hockey team played Syracuse University, Sol Feder saw opportunity. ‘Cohen’, was the name on the opposing players jersey, and Sol asked if he was Jewish, inviting him to the locker room. There, Cohen experienced the power of connection with the Creator and His children
Happy Passover!
Wishing everyone a meaningful and fun Seder and Pesach experience. Praying that all Jews, especially those currently held by terrorists in Gaza, are freed from slavery.

MAZEL TOV YESHIVA UNIVERSITY MACCABEES ON WINNING THE NCAA D-III ROLLER HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP!
So cool to watch a team celebrate their tight 5-4 victory (that Fuchs stick-save at the end 😳) wearing yarmulkes proudly 🤩 ❤️
Am Yisrael Chai!!!
With the World Junior Championships approaching, here's what a potential Team Israel would look like.
We believe they could compete and possibly come in 5th place. What do you think?

today signed defenseman Shai Buium to a three-year, entry-level contract beginning with the 2024-25 season.
Buium will report to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins on an amateur tryout for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
Details:
“I’m really proud of my heritage and the way I grew up. I feel extremely lucky to have been raised the way I was; biracial and Jewish, and raised to love hockey for what it is.”
Haven’t seen the Andrew Jerkshire video nor do I plan to. I’m ashamed that he’s a fellow Habs fan.
I muted him on October 8th after reading his trash and don’t plan on unmuting that piece of dirt under a maggot’s toenail.
The guy is a certified Judeophobe going back years.
Levy is off to the worlds with Team Israel 🇮🇱
Congratulations to Mike Levin who has been named to the Israel U20 World Championship team!

Thanks for the retweets, folks.
To those Hamas, baby-kidnapping, torture, and rape lovers responding in the comments: love that mentions of Jewish and Israeli success gets into your head. Hope my tweets bother the crap outta you 👍
“When I suggested to Hyman that his own success, along with that of Hughes and Rangers defenseman Adam Fox meant the Jewish people were now in an unprecedented hockey golden age, his first reaction was to add another name to the list.”

“I’m so ecstatic for you in this incredible chapter,” Swayman concluded. “I’m sure reading from the Torah is going to be really special. It’s going to be memories for life. I know mine was.”
I asked Swayman about this tonight. He didn’t realize it had gone viral.
“It’s obviously really special to be Jewish and be proud of it. I’m just super happy for that kid. I hope he had a great bar mitzvah.”
USF hockey player Max Sherman was called up to fight for Israel. His teammates have hung his

Amazing!
The IDF is entering Rafah to rescue the hostages and finish Hamas. 🇮🇱
Say a chapter of Psalms for their success and for the protection of Am Yisrael.
I would suggest Chapter 140, which is highly appropriate, almost prophetic, to the current situation.
What a year to be a Jewish hockey fan!
• Team Israel crushes competition after nearly not being allowed to play
• Zach Hyman scores 50 on Purim
• Artemi Panarin hits 120 in early Nissan
• Quinn Hughes top scoring D
• YU wins roller hockey championship just before Passover
One day some NHL player is gonna convert to Judaism in middle of the season and then 8 days later his team is gonna put him on IR with a “lower body injury.”
Beautiful moment at the end of Team Israel's U20 team's 8-6 victory over New Zealand as both teams stood in respect for Hatikva.

Jesse, you rock.
They hate you cuz they’re jealous. Losers who have accomplished nothing who are envious of your hard earned success.

Must read article. Bobby Holik says it like it is.
“Thirty-five years after the end of World War II, there was sentiment among some of the population that if you could just get rid of the Jews, there would not be any more problems,” said Holik.”
“As somebody that young Jewish kids look up to — not just an athlete, but as a proud Jewish person — I think it’s important that when things are really tough, a community binds together. It sticks together and fights antisemitism.”
Zach Hyman ftw!
"He's having a career year because he took a trip to Turks and Caicos when he was 14. Thank goodness we still have real reporters out there in the media like Andrew Berkshire who have enough integrity and bravery to get the true story." 🤣🤣
The IIHF under 18 semifinals are getting close, and here's what a Jewish team competing in the tournament could look like.
Do you think they'd be good enough to medal?

May it be a holiday where the hostages in Gaza are freed as well. Am Yisrael Chai!
Passover is one of my favourite times on the Jewish calendar.
This is a painful era for a ton of people, most of whom live in situations much, much more challenging than mine. I pray for the hostages and their families (
