I can’t think of a single item that is less expensive or even the same price as it was a few years ago….if prices are going down (which is false) it would only be because of the insane increase we’ve seen on literally everything since Biden took office

City “leaders” have enabled these people for years now…given them a platform, and validated their anger toward law enforcement who are just doing their job. It’s disgusting. And they wonder why they can’t recruit.
Austin PD will be cutting their availability to respond to 911 calls almost in half because they do not have enough officers. Good job Austin city council…you get what you vote for.
In case anyone needs a reminder…that not a single person was charged with a crime as a result of any of these photos or the other hundreds of acts of violence against officers that occurred in the surrounding days….

That mustang in the distance passed me at over 100 on SW pkwy. APD Highway enforcement defunded, positions defunded, academy cancelled, contract (only recruiting tool) killed and EVERYONE knows it. Fatalities and crime have increased year over year since the wokesters took over.
Enough is enough. Austin will never be able to retain an experienced, well-rounded Chief for any amount of time with a Council who refuses to ratify a contract and a DA who removes less lethal options and continues to harass LEOs.
Just can’t wrap my head around the fact that DA Garza just gave a man who ended the life of a 13 year old a PROBATION ONLY plea deal the same week he’s taking two deputies to trial to keep good on his campaign promise.
This is disgraceful….out on bond, kills a stranger in cold blood…and is given a $250K bond…again? For first degree murder…what is going on in Travis County?
This is UNREAL! Murderer who shot a man 30 times with an AR 15 released on bond! Now back in jail for human trafficking….Travis Co DA lies about it, never filed a motion to intervene. HOW is this possible? Thank you,
@MeredithonFOX7
for covering this story.
@CLEAT
Why did
@JosePGarza
let this murderer walk free a few months ago? He’s a convicted felon and documented gang member who shot a man to death in Travis County. Now he’s walking around….We need answers.
I like how No to Prop a signs say “protect parks and libraries” from what?? They are infested with criminals and surrounded by transients and crime. Prop A is the only thing that will clean up this city and reinstate law and order. Dtown library and many parks unsafe.
Catch and release! Except this time the suspect promptly murdered his girlfriend. Released after a few days LAST MONTH. Two previous firearms charges and he’s a convicted felon. What does one have to do to secure a jail cell in Travis County?! DA Garza is dangerous. Can’t imagine
Someone
@JosePGarza
owes us an explanation to the public as to why he released a murderer and known gang member back into society. Roy Garcia is a dangerous man who served time in prison for another murder, committed a second, and our DA let him out in September. Dismissed.
Austin CC has now effectively removed all pro-active policing AND reactive policing is on the chopping block…this should be unacceptable for the citizens of Austin. Vote FOR Prop A!
@charleywilkison
@CLEAT
In 2021 I was involved in a bad car accident in Travis County. The other driver was at fault, was arrested on scene for impaired driving and he also had NO insurance. Since then my insurance rate has doubled. So I’ll continue to be penalized for this accident for years on end.
I don’t hear anyone demanding body cam footage of the officers who took on heavy gunfire in ATX. Sounds like people need to be reminded of the extreme dangers LE face daily and then maybe their actions will make more sense. Thankful officers are both ok.

A month after an Austin Police officer was shot and killed in the line of duty and two other APD officers were shot and severely injured while running toward gunmen to save innocent lives, Casar is asking for an investigation into the department due to charges against officers
No, you lost. NOTHING good has come from slashing the APD budget. Crime is through the roof, hundreds of officers have resigned, Austin is less safe.

The downward spiral continues…and it’s not due to the “Kia challenge” it’s due to the fact that criminals are not being held accountable in Travis County.
DA Garza claims to be tough on firearms violations?! This is ridiculous…First murder of 2024 committed by a suspect who was a convicted felon arrested and released last month for Unlawful Carrying of firearm. Must be nice to get away with lying to the public. Sorry for the
@DocumentingATX
This did not used to be the case for APD when they were fully staffed. I responded and located phones in this exact same scenario back before the defund. This is what ATX voters asked for.
The subject who murdered our officer was on the terror watchlist aka TSC list. As an officer who used to vet these individuals, this is extremely frustrating. Please continue to report suspicious activity as it is the only mechanism for LE to intervene.
OUTRAGEOUS! DA Garza gave a sweetheart plea deal to this man…PROBATION…after his actions, manslaughter and injury to a child, took the life of a 13 year old boy! Please get out and vote. DA Garza is dangerous.

The entire country needs to listen to this Chief. 10 years after a justified police shooting the media, politicians, and others continue to lie and spark racial tensions with law enforcement that simply do not exist in the form they claim. Now an officer is fighting for his life.
