I condemn the offensive anti-Asian statements of
@RebeccaDefender
. Yesterday, Asian American activists and supporters protested the lenient sentencing of a man who stabbed a 94-year-old Asian woman in San Francisco.
WE WON! The Dept of Elections recognized our demands & made it easier for Asian candidates to use their given Chinese names. I'm happy the DoE, thanks to community voices, retracted that absurd policy. Thanks to all who supported this effort. Let's get on with fixing SF!
So apparently, Connie Chan has been criticizing us ABCs for not being proud of our Chinese heritage just because our Chinese names aren't on our passports. I didn't realize she was the judge of Asian pride! Too bad the Dept.of Elections doesn't agree!
I am excited to announce I am running for SF DCCC!
I got into politics 3 years ago because I was concerned for the safety of our Asian elders & many of you were with me during that horrible time.
Now, I want to amplify this public safety agenda with the SF Democratic Party (1/4)
Thank you

It's truly shocking yet not surprising to hear the SF Labor and Working Families slate are actively trying to defund public safety initiatives.
They've made it loud and clear they don't care about our safety, yet they want to represent voters?

The Working Families Slate claims to support public safety, but in internal emails they make it clear: “our efforts to defund public safety initiatives.”
This is extreme, out of touch, and doesn’t represent the overwhelming majority of SF Democrats.

shouted at us, comparing the victim to an Asian driver who was involved in a serious vehicle accident. Asian Americans like all Americans deserve to express their viewpoints without being subjected to racial vitriol.
Proud to be supporting my good friend

I am proud of my academic & professional achievements, and to have studied under some of the leading neuroscientists of the country.
But I’m disappointed that SF politics have devolved into smear campaigns to distract us from the issues.
So let's get into the facts. 🧵
We know what needs to change.

Now I am getting even more involved. I’ve been a Democrat all my life and I want to bring the concern for public safety and sensible governance to our City and the SF DCCC.
I know many of you share my concerns, and my love for San Francisco. 3/4
Since those humble beginnings, I founded a thriving non-profit with my friends called Dear Community, I was on the front lines of the recall of Chesa Boudin, and I worked as Campaign Manager for the successful election of San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins. 2/4
