On my first day of work for a new editing client, the LAPD lowered a helicopter into my field of view (T2-style), swarmed my new office with SWAT, then wrongfully arrested me in front of the news media w/o telling me the charges. I was on TMZ all day as a celebrity kidnapper.

What's something that happened to you but sounds made it up? For me, I had a beef with some other theatre kids in high school over if Webber or Sondheim was the better composer. Some kids *slashed my tires* and wrote "WEBBER SUCKS" in marker all over my car windows.
