Okay the march is now officially starting an hour later than scheduled. Protestors are marching from Oxford Road to Castlefield Bowl and will be going past the Manchester Central Convention Centre where the conference is being held

Norma Turner, the chair of Greater Manchester Friends of Palestine, tells me around 3,000 protestors are taking part in the march. She said she had feared people would ‘get weary’ but there appears to be no signs of that here
