Activism in Nigeria means using one hand to fight the government, and the other hand to protect yourself from being attacked by the people you are fighting on behalf of.
This is for the Nigerian bigots who say they cannot vote a man because he doesn’t speak their language.
I hope you maintain the same energy by receiving medical care only from doctors/surgeons who speak your language, home and abroad.
You better be consistent with this madness.
So much misinformation, propaganda, vitriol and wickedness from the APC.
In all of this you got one thing right- I come from a long line of Military men. I have SOLDIER in my DNA. I fear nothing and no one.
I will not cower in the face of injustice!!!
This man can confidently threaten voters because he is state backed. This isn’t the first video of him threatening voters but somehow, he still has not been arrested.
@jidesanwoolu
call your thugs to order. This is a democracy not a dictatorship.
@BenHundeyin
do your job!
I have taken time out to reflect and now it’s clear to me I should have handled events differently. It didn’t have to come this far and i sincerely apologize.
This is a teachable moment for me and i strongly appreciate the constructive criticisms. I will handle things better…
We will be setting up an agency whose sole focus is tackling police Brutality. The aim will be to set value to the life of residents in Lagos and swift consequence when those rights and values are trampled upon.

Epe residents were very excited to see Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour. Some supporters of the ruling party showed up with their usual aggression and violence, but we trudged on. We will not be intimidated.

. Let’s vote out incompetence and vote in a visionary!
Nigeria’s debt profile going from N12.6 Trillion in 2015 to N87 trillion in 2023 without any tangible improvement on any indices of development, is quite frankly a sad state of affairs.
Lagos Obidients, are you ready???
Let’s do this!!! 💪🏽🙏🏽

This is the entrance to Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
A teaching hospital that doesn't prioritise hygiene has to be the scariest place for any patient.
Both state and hospital leaders should be ashamed.
The level of mediocrity in Nigeria is astonishing!

You can go to the gym, take your vitamins, drink your gallon of water, and eat very healthy meals, but if you don't deal with the stuff going on in your heart and your head, you are still going to be unhealthy.
Poor emotional health can trigger diseases too.
It’s unfortunate that the Nigerian labour law grants mothers only 3-4 months paid maternity leave.
Women go through a myriad of challenges postpartum ( too many to mention). Even “baby brain” alone doesn’t inspire productivity.
Short maternity leave - affects breastfeeding…

With multinational companies like GSK exiting the country, Nigeria has a unique opportunity to forge a path towards sustainable economic development by strengthening pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Here, I highlight 3 ways the country can achieve this.
I think there are two main reasons why killings are happening in Plateau:
1. Land grabbing
2. Creation of food insecurity.

Death stared people in the face during this election. Some lost their lives. Bigots responsible didn’t “withhold” their prejudice. Elections have consequences. Once bigots set a precedent, they have no control over how people react. Which means it may be difficult to draw a line
I just saw a Nigerian aesthetician promoting ozempic for weight loss on Instagram.
Ozempic is a drug for Type 2 Diabetes, with weight loss being a side effect. Some doctors may give this to clinically obese patients through prescription. Why is an aesthetician prescribing this?
Unpopular opinion: The US/UK should create a law that prevents Nigerian leaders and their families from utilising healthcare services in these countries.
The only way healthcare in Nig will improve is when these leaders are FORCED to utilise Nigerian healthcare services.
Pharmaceutical giants GSK and Sanofi exiting Nigeria is terrible news for access to medicines and healthcare delivery.
The cost of medicines in Nigeria will start rising. This will be a challenge for citizens - especially those who suffer from chronic diseases.
Thank you for sharing!😊

A true leader inspires hope that helps citizens push through the tough times of uncertainty and economic instability. Such leaders are needed now more than ever in Nigeria. Peter Obi exudes this so effortlessly.

There is sexual transmission of monkeypox happening in the DRC. The outbreak is primarily spreading among men who have sex with men and sex workers.
I think whats happening in Congo is probably already happening in other parts of Africa.
There is urgent need for surveillance.
Leaders and political elites waxing lyrical, were all mute during the rigging, violence and intimidation during the elections.
If you must address any issue, address it from the root. You cannot bully a person constantly and then have a retort when they push back!
Nigeria should have a national malaria reference lab/ group of labs in the country that should know everything about every malaria causing specie. Nigeria has the highest estimated country share of total malaria cases, yet one of the lowest malaria research outputs!
For those who Hate:
Research shows that hatred changes the chemistry in the brain as it stimulates the premotor cortex which is responsible for planning and execution of motion. This prepares us to act aggressively when feeling hateful, either to defend or as an attack.
I think we need to incorporate CPR in the curriculum (from primary school).
We live in an environment that makes us susceptible to accidents and emergencies, albeit man-made.
I think every Nigerian should learn CPR.
It’s becoming very difficult advocating for equitable access to medicines/vaccines for Africans when African leaders are not bothered about investing in solutions to local problems.
You cannot keep being entitled to other people’s invention. Isn’t it exhausting???

Nigeria should introduce a free healthcare initiative to abolish health user fees for pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children under five years of age. This will improve the health outcomes of the population.
We can definitely afford it.
Africa is not a poor continent. It holds half of the world’s minerals and 60% of arable lands that are often not utilised.
Africa is an exploited continent.

In a lot of bars in Lagos, you won't get served a glass of wine unless you buy the bottle. You also won't get served a shot of whatever unless you buy the bottle. These bars are not encouraging responsible alcohol behaviour. This is a public health problem.
It’s one thing to cheat during the elections - be dishonest, manipulate data, be violent and suppress voters.
it’s quite another to be so arrogant whilst doing it.
Unpopular opinion:
Being a “strong black woman” offers no unique evolutionary advantage.
Infact, I argue, that it makes women more susceptible to chronic diseases, and increases the chance of passing down unnecessary ailments/disease/ trauma to generations unborn.
Childbirth is ranked high on the pain rating scale when compared to other painful life experiences. The least a mother deserves is proper healthcare after childbirth.
