9/9 הייתי רוצה להגיד שבספר הבא תהיה דמות של שגיא, אבל דמות כזאת לא תהיה אמינה. אדם ללא פגמים. אדם שכולו טוב, שהקדיש את חייו בשביל אחרים. שהקריב את חייו בשביל אחרים. שגיא ימשיך להיות איתי בכל דבר שאעשה בחיים האלה, בכל החלטה ומעשה, והטוב שהפיץ בעולם ימשיך להאיר.

8/9 הוא הוביל את חייליו בקרב ונפל בזמן שהגן בגופו על משפחות, ילדים וקשישים, תושבי מדינת ישראל. נפילתו בקרב ביטאה את האופן שבו חי את חייו, חיים שהוקדשו לעשיית טוב ועזרה לאחרים. חיים שהיו מלאים באהבה, לבן זוגו עומר, למשפחתו, לחבריו ולמדינתו, מדינה שלא הכירה בנישואיו לאהוב ליבו.

6/9 הפעם כגנרל לוסיאנו רודריגז אנצ׳לוטי השלישי, שודד ים פרואני שעוסק בזמנו החופשי בהונאות מיילים מזדמנות. שלחתי לשגיא את הטיוטה של הספר, והמעצבן הזה, במקום רק להתלהב, הציע מיד כמה שינויים שהפכו את הספר לטוב פי כמה. דייק את העלילה והדברים שרציתי לומר בקריאה אחת.

1/2 רוב העולם לא יודע שאתמול בתחנת הרכבת התחתית בניו יורק, אישה אחת עם עגלת קניות סגולה כמעט מעדה. למזלה, תייר שבדי עירני תפס אותה רגע לפני שהיא נפלה, ושתי סטודנטיות מיהרו לאסוף את המצרכים שהתפזרו על הרצפה (כולל כמה תפוזים שהתגלגלו עד למטה).

1/5 את אחת מהתובנות הכי פרקטיות שלמדתי באוניברסיטה, למדתי בשיעור על פילוסופיה הודית. את הקורס לימד פרופסור חכם שהיה מגיע לשיעורים עם צעיף לבן ומבט מהורהר, ושדיבר באותה רצינות תהומית על התודעה האנושית כמו על סצנות אקשן דלות תקציב בסרט הבוליוודי האחרון שבו צפה.

5/5 ועד היום אני לא בטוח אם זה היה משפט זן או אמירה אגבית לסטודנט שנה א' שאכל לו את הראש. אבל התובנה הזאת, שלא פעם דברים כמו ציון במבחן באוניברסיטה זה אירוע הרבה יותר שולי ממה שנדמה בתוך הרגע עצמו, זה ללא ספק אחת מהתובנות הכי פרקטיות וחשובות שלמדתי במהלך הלימודים באוניברסיטה.

Morning outdoor café read: "Jerusalem Beach" by @IddoGefen . His story "Exit" in which a young girl retreats into a waking-sleeping dream world, is absolutely gripping. Had to set aside everything else until I reached the end.
