At Hawkin Dynamics we give you options when designing your testing protocol. Not only do we offer multiple tests such as the CMJ, SJ, isometric test, drop jump, and reactive tests. We also offer easy selection of metrics so that you can see (or not see 👀) the metrics you want

Strategy matters. For some athletes a high
#RFD
may not result in the highest possible output. Context is king - when/how are key components of why in so many cases. This is why we stress our users to test consistently (also - do not use bouncy rubber mats under your plates!)
We're going to be publishing some fairly dry, but important, case-studies on data analysis and "best practices". It may not be the most thrilling stuff, but it's very important for getting valid and reliable results from your hardware
The case against the fluffy metrics - Power by
@DrJLake
What's the deal with the 'fluffy' metrics? Are they really bad? Not at all, but they require a robust rationale and context.

Meeting Recording:
Jump mats are a great way to get started testing jumps, but they have limitations. Using flight-time to estimate jump height can be unreliable, but more than that, you might not be getting the full picture..
Stiffness is a great metric and very simple to understand. Force at the lowest point of the countermovement (point of zero velocity) divided by the displacement at the lowest moment (in meters) - very sensitive to shifts in strategy.
Our April NSCA Clinic is now online only as a precaution due to recent developments with the COVID-19 outbreak. The cost has been reduced and our capacity is now greatly increased. Join us in a few weeks for a full day of learning:
We're heading to Ireland in a few weeks - our co-founders Ben Watson and Dr. Peter Mundy will be in Dublin from Jan 30th to Feb 2nd - if you'd like to connect on the ground and in person, reach out! We will have plates and can travel.
Excellence achieved 💪🏆

Reports? PDF Reports? Coming soon! Live on our cloud beta for any of our testers! Tons of new features in the reporting tab are on the way, we're really excited to share more soon. Oh and in the notes we are using the term "athlete" very loosely!
We're going to be publishing our calculations and methodologies in the near future - knowing how numbers are generated is fairly important as far as we are concerned. Math is math.
Changing jump strategy can dramatically impact output - but for the better? Higher RFD sure sounds good but does it actually result in a higher jump? Depends on the athlete, of course.
