AFAIK “cactus” is Aussie slang for “beaten” or “ruined”. Dingo’s basically saying he’d mop the floor w/ them if he was in the mood. (Though I doubt it considering Crash beat his ass so bad he retired after one fight 💀) I really do adore how they handled Dingo in Crash 4 though!

😐 20+ yrs after Warped Toys for Bob are literally the only non-ND devs to create an original Crash platformer that reviewed on par w/ the OG trilogy. TfB brought quality back to the series, they restored pedigree. They have not "hurt the franchise" Crash fans deserve less lol

Certainly a near-echo, the only fortunate difference is that key figures at TfB who worked on stuff like Crash 4 are (seemingly) still leading the way. AFAIK the cancellation of Crash Landed & subsequent hiatus of the IP was largely a result of mismanagement on Radical's end.

I can say with no hesitation that Crash 4's controls are the absolute best of the mainline platformers. The double jump & generous coyote time allow for some of the smoothest most death-defying gameplay that I've ever experienced in a 3D platformer. Toys for Bob are total pros.

Been having a blast w/ Crash Team Rumble's new "Waste Deep" map! It feels like the most advanced/dynamic one we've had yet: hella verticality, lots of perilous platforming, & 3 aggressive relic stations (btw I just adore those little rolling blobs bois from Nitro Processing 🥹)

Dope! Love Zembillas' work, but he was just a concept artist lol; his word should never have had as much weight as the game devs who actually fought the creative battles. According to Jason & Andy a lot of the fuss came from the marketing director at Universal Interactive.

Louise is a legit awesome creature design & a unique concept for a mini-boss in Crash. However I think the reason she doesn’t get any fan art is because she’s a mindless beast lol. If she was, like, a pirate themed anthro henchwoman similar to Dingodile or Tiny we’d be cookin’

I can't argue with Crash 2 taking that position lol BUT, real talk...if my nostalgia for the PS1/CB2 wasn't so palpable Crash 4: IAT would easily take the best CB game crown. I don't have many issues with that game outside of the hella laborious side/optional-content.

Nice to see them using the spiky atlasphere from Hazardous Waste. I'm guessing that every map has it's own uniquely themed atlasphere power-up. Btw Oxide's presence here is almost certainly a play on Area 51/UFOs in the deserts of the American west lol

I legit appreciate how TfB adapted Ripper Roo’s mad bomber shtick into a frenetic competitive free-roaming context. Like, there’s a reason why CTRu’s TNT equip is basically a “sticky bomb” lol; sessile hazards like TNTs & nitros aren’t as effective w/ so much space + mobility.

@LuchoComix @ToysForBob Interestingly enough the swirly eyes were in 4’s concept art. It was definitely a deliberate decision to leave them out; it would be interesting to know why, maybe they felt like they didn’t need it to truly tap into the “total psycho” appeal? Regardless the design rocks IMO
