My new little seating area is almost finished! Just in time for the sun ☀️ now just to decide what to plant in, around and over! This inherited clematis is definitely staying put though, and rewarded us with flowers late last week
#GardensHour
It’s the one time of year I come out of hiding! I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the masses of support you give me to help make sure
#GardensHour
is the success that it is! It wouldn’t work without you all showing up each week and sharing ❤️ Cheers all 🥂
Right now I’m thinking I’m nuts for considering getting rid of this buddleja, it was looking glorious in the evening sun! But it’s just too big for that border… I wonder if I can move it elsewhere instead 🤔 are they easy to move once dormant?
#GardensHour
It’s that time again! Welcome to this week’s
#GardensHour
. What have you been up to this week? This little surprise turned up for me, in a pot I moved from my old house. Made me smile 😊 What has made you smile this week?
Hello everyone! Welcome to this week’s
#GardensHour
. Let’s start tonight with some advice - plenty of time for pics later! What is the one thing you wish someone had told you as your started your gardening journey? Or what key advice would you give to newbies?
Breaking News: on Wednesday we are likely to see a rare phenomenon streaking through the skies. The celestial object commonly referred to as ‘The Sun’ will be visible for most of the day in Devon and many other parts of the UK. Mass hysteria and confusion expected

Hello and welcome to this week’s
#GardensHour
! Let’s try something different this week. I don’t think we’ve ever discussed favourite scents in the garden. What are yours, and why? 🌷
Monday again! Hello
#GardensHour
! We’re supporting
#NationalGardeningWeek
in the UK this week by discussing the positive impact gardening has on our mental health and well-being. Do you have a story you’d like to share? Or a tip for how you use the garden if you’re feeling down?
Good evening
#GardensHour
- I’m sure we’re all feeling a little sombre right now, but this is one hour of the week we get to put a smile on other people’s faces 😊 it’s officially now spring, our gardens are alive, please share your happy photos below...
I have one sunny windowsill in my house, and I’ve filled it! We don’t usually grow veg anymore, but I’m setting my girls a little lockdown project to get a mini veg patch going. Planted last Tuesday just starting to see some sprouting
#GardensHour
Hello
#GardensHour
! Have you had a good week? I got a glimpse of the Lesser-Spotted Sun today and it felt good! Let us know what you’ve been up to in the garden this week…
I made a gate! Soooo much work still to do to make this garden what I want, but 3/4 of the fence replaced and a bespoke gate that actually works!
Time to move away from timber and back to planting from next weekend, so hopefully some more excitement to come 🤞
#GardensHour
Loving how effective this is against my new, darker fence! So pretty!! Had to move it at a not ideal time, so I’m very pleased it’s doing well... in fact better than last year! Must like the new home
#GardensHour
Good evening and welcome to
#GardensHour
! In light of recent news here and across the world, I would love for tonight all to be about positivity and looking forward to brighter futures! If you can, please dig out a photo from last spring/summer and pop it below and say why...
I saved this until last! Thank you for another wonderful
#GardensHour
, three fab weeks of festive colour and a year of positivity! I wish you all a Merry Christmas, however different it might be. I’m having a little break now, and we’ll be back to welcome 2021 on 4th Jan ❤️💛💚
My new garden is slowly coming to life! There are still a few things yet to wake up so I can discover what I have inherited, but here’s a few things that are starting to brighten things up
#GardensHour
Welcome to this week’s
#GardensHour
! Who’s here, say hi 👋
We’ve had a day of rain here and I’d love to see your garden photos on the theme of Bright and Sunny… what have you got for us?!
I was really late putting these in, really did not expect them to flower! Lovely surprise when the first one opened last week, lots more just about to open!
#GardensHour
And sadly another
#GardensHour
comes to a close. Thanks once again. Many of us across the world are facing increasing restrictions on our daily lives - it’s wonderful to be able to keep providing this happy space once a week to all. Have a brilliant week everyone - see you soon.
My OH has been finishing the new patio area - anyone who’s been on
#GardensHour
long enough may have caught him vacuuming the garden before… but as it’s his birthday (and he doesn’t do Twitter) I thought I’d share this lovely shot of the new tiles for you all 🤣
Hello
#GardensHour
! Let’s see out the year with your best greenery! I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve got! I snapped this rain splattered lot this evening. GREEN means GO!
It’s been unseasonably warm around here recently (well, since about May tbh 😂) but temps look set to drop a *little* this week. No sign of frosts here yet though. And peeped outside to see this late beauty nestled amongst the hips
#GardensHour
Good evening everybody! How are you all doing? We’re well into June now - do you consider it summer yet? Please post below the photos of what you’ve been up to in the garden or on the allotment this week
#GardensHour
We had four healthy butterflies emerge last week and set them free on Saturday. Two flew off super quick, but a couple took their time and hung around to say goodbye to us. A great project for kids (and us!)
#GardensHour
Not sure
#GardensHour
has ever fallen on
#ValentinesDay
before, so let’s use the chance to celebrate the rose! Share your favourite rose pics below and let everybody know the name if you can 👇
I have a small, courtyard garden so I tend not to do any veg. But decided a good lockdown project for my girls would be to grow a few bits. On Saturday we got our first produce! Going to do something yummy with them for dinner tomorrow, just not sure what yet!
#GardensHour
Hello and welcome everyone! It’s
#GardensHour
once again, filling your newsfeed with wonderful garden chat and gorgeous photos! So come on, what have you got to share with everyone tonight? Post below...
I know we focus a lot on what’s on the ground for obvious reasons, but today in the garden I just looked up. What a beautiful sky I got to look at this afternoon, making me feel anything but blue. Hope you are all doing ok ❤️
Couldn’t resist this bird bath! Really hoping adding a water source will help encourage more birds. The seed has been disappearing off the new bird table but so far not actually seen any birds at it!
#GardensHour
Wow!!! I couldn’t have asked for more. An incredible amount of photos shared tonight, I wish I could count them but I’m sure that’s one of the busiest
#GardensHour
’s yet! SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL PINK! Thank you all! See you next week. I’ll have a think on the colour and let you know...
Hello
#GardensHour
! How are you all? You know the score by now, for this week’s entry into
#SummerOfColour
we are seeing RED! Do you have a favourite red pic to post below? It doesn’t need to be this week...
Hello and welcome to this week’s
#GardensHour
. I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Easter weekend. I spent most of mine in the garden, did you? Post pics below of what you got up to!
Early in lockdown as part of homeschool, we tried different ways of germinating an avocado stone. This one worked, but took over 4mths to germinate!! It has then taken another 3 to get here. Any advice? We’d love to keep it going as a positive keepsake from this year
#GardensHour
I went for a walk with a friend today who I’d not seen since before lockdown. Not only was it lovely to see her, but came across these beauties along the way
#GardensHour
Hello all! Welcome to the the first
#GardensHour
of 2021! We are looking forwards tonight... what’s spring up in your garden to fill you with positivity? Or what are you most looking forward to in the coming weeks?
For
#BlueMonday
I’m looking back and forwards to sunny summer days and blue skies. I’m nearing the end of isolation and it’s been tough, but it’s nothing compared to what others are going through. Check in on friends and family who might be struggling
#GardensHour
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ALL, for an absolutely brilliant year of
#GardensHour
! 2022 is going to be even better, I can feel it! I’m taking my usual winter break to recharge (drink wine) and we’ll be back to focus on the year ahead on Monday 11 Jan. Happy holidays! 🥂🎄
With garden centres and nurseries closing, and online deliveries sporadic and delayed, perhaps
#GardensHour
could become a sharing space for excess seeds etc in these times? Who’s up for that?
Welcome to
#GardensHour
💐
@lovely_plot
here! 👋
Tonight we are celebrating colour 🌈
Show off your summer palette!
Let's cast our mind to balmy summer evenings and celebrate gardening life, plants and diversity of colours, shapes and scents! 🥳🎊🎉
Fab surprise waiting when I got home after Christmas. This winter jasmine is still tiny, but what a great concentration of flowers on a couple stems. I can’t wait for the next few years to watch this grow and provide amazing colour to look at from the kitchen window
#GardensHour

Well that was another speedy hour of loveliness! Roses and peonies stealing the show tonight I think. Wishing you all a fabulous week wherever you are and I’ll see you all again next Monday
#GardensHour
Since lockdown our little walks have become really important. My youngest is just 5 so we can’t go far, but the other day found all this just a few mins from home in a park I usually avoid. Will make more of an effort to visit throughout the seasons now
#GardensHour

It’s our festive, end of year celebration this week. An opportunity for a relaxed hour, stay on theme or meander off if you like!
Who’s here?
Hello and a huge welcome to this week’s
#GardensHour
Who’s here? Say hi 👋
As we near the end of April, how’s your garden looking? What have you been up to?
Good evening
#GardensHour
! The UK clocks have changed, everything feels a little darker, colder and bleaker to me. What do you love about this time of year in the garden to help keep your spirits up? Or do you love everything about this time of year already?
Wow, that purple theme was the best yet! You all have so much purple in your gardens. Thank you once again for your contributions. I am having a little holiday next week but
#GardensHour
is still running, thanks to the lovely
@Abis_snaps
