You laugh but TMNT ‘90 is one of the most financially successful indie movies ever and one of the few American films produced by legendary Hong Kong studio Golden Harvest AND one of the last films Jim Henson worked on before his death. Hell of a history for one kids’ movie.

WTF was the point? AT&T pushed HBO Max in our faces because they wanted our sweet sweet data (and use their wack cell service) and despite bad UI and a buggy launch it was/is great. So of course Discovery’s killing jobs to shove it into another platform. This should be illegal.

#BirdsofPrey is KILLER. A slow start and awkward plotting doesn’t stop the movie, and these characters, from soaring in the end. Wildly violent, F bombs out the wazoo, and the best bat fight scene since The Raid 2. If Margot Robbie could control this part of the DCEU, she should.

Some real thoughts on #AvatarTheWayOfWater : Yeah, incredible. It’s a James Cameron limit break where even intimate feelings slam with seismic force. Jaw-dropping design make a mostly CG world and cast (miraculously emotive) feel impossibly alive. Even the water’s hypnotizing.

Unsurprisingly Elizabeth Olsen is so damn good in #DoctorStrange in the Multiverse of Madness. One of the most engrossing, layered performances ever by an actor in this genre. No one has understood their superhero on fundamental levels since, like, Christopher Reeve as Superman.

I've seen #RingsofPower and I can say for certain you're in for a treat. Big, bold, and beautiful to behold. TBD if it'll sit alongside Jackson's films or deserve Tolkien's name, but for now it's all the maximalist pizazz one might expect from a historically expensive production.

Big news from that #WarnerBrosDiscovery Q2 call: CEO David Zaslav announces a "reset" of DC films. “We have done a reset. We’ve restructured the business. We’re going to focus where there will be a team with a ten-year plan focusing just on DC."
